I'm trying to prove a point that Okafor could be an unique option in certain situations. Whether it's Embiid or Simmons at the 4, most people see no benefit with Okafor and I think it's a mistake without given him a chance on a team that wants to win, now. Embiid and Okafor could be a dominating center rotation that other teams would have a difficult time defending.
Were you living at the International Space Station the last two years or something?
Okafor has been given nearly two years worth of chances. Okafor has been awful with all of his chances. We tried Embiid and Okafor together and it was a predictable disaster.
Give Okafor a chance
Team that wants to win
Pick one.
Okafor played with terrible guards, TJ,Sergio, and others were bad at defense, the whole team was bad, too judge him on those games is unfair. I admit he looked bad when he stopped trying for whatever reason. If, Okafor turns it around, there's rumors of him getting in better shape, he can be a valuable asset. Why throw that away for peanuts, when he could prove in a few games if he fits or not. Anyway, Okafor played well in a few games, he showed he can score when not being doubled. Also, the space station has League Pass.
Everybody every year gets in better shape. Its not his offense that anyone is concerned about other than the fact hes a black hole and clogs the lane. His defense and rebounding as a big along with effort is plain and simple some of the worst ive ever seen.
I think ur being extremely optimistic and trying to make a point, even if he does score say 20pts its gonna be when we are down by 20 and jah gets his empty stats.
Is he in a unique situation? Yes, but not for positive reasons. Hes the 3rd pick in an nba draft who is 2 years away from his contract year and people cant wait for him to leave or be traded even with the embiid injury concerns. Ill take the 2nd rd pick from bowling green everyday over the 3rd pick from duke.
If he is ever a player in the league it will be on a brooklyn type squad where he puts up stats that look good on a ppg stat sheet, but only until once u dived into +/- or advanced metrics you will see the real picture.
I really dont understand how people havent seen the reality of jah yet.
