Just like in vampire cartoons as a kid, when the head Vampire is killed the people should turn back to normal. In other words, when Phil was fired that NTC should have dissolved.

I would disagree that literally everything has been catered to him

For starters we've tried to make him play out of his preferred position his full time here. We've tried to make him a point forward under dantoni. We tried to make him a playmaker, a catch and shoot guy.

We've given him a rotation of coaches, playing styles and teammates that have never catered to him at any point.

And we've vilified him in the media after he took less money then the max to stay, asked for and got a ntc because he wants to play here, and have been trying to run him out of town for two seasons at least.

That's not quite literally everything

Three 1st round picks? I wonder how you feel about Noah? Anderson is only overpaid by 4 or so million a year, similar to Carmelo, but he does go a year longer. I don't think it's possible for Houston to come up with all of that. Thanks for the feedback.

Find a team that is wiling to take Anderson for nothing and use the trade exception created to trade for Anthony. Or you find another team to bring into the deal that would take Anderson and give the Knicks something other than Anderson.

Exactly! Ryan Anderson is an albatross contract at this point. No team needs a one dimensional PF who is making as much as he is making.

Quite honestly, Cleveland can put a better package even without Love compared to taking on Anderson. Shump/Frye/RJ/Felder for Melo works under the cap. Add Osman's rights and a future first round pick and that is already a better package for a rebuilding team. Shump still seems to have some market value and can be dumped for an expiring without losing assets. Heck maybe you can get a second round pick for him. RJ is a small contract that can be bought out and Frye will expire.

Cleveland can use Love to get better role players or bring Melo from the bench as a super sub.

I mean he signed one of the most player friendly contracts we've ever seen. Steph Curry wasnt even given a NTC. He's survived multiple coaches, multiple GM's....has been given carte blanche over all of these regimes to shoot as much as he wants. There's been relatively no pressure to win. The guy has been given a ton from the organization.

Cant believe the Rockets would give up Ariza and Gordon so it will have to be Anderson so I pray there is a third team

i guess I don't agree he hasn't been under pressure

He's been the lightning rod for the pressure and frustration. As evidenced by your description of his easy living here in NYC.

As far as carte blanche to shoot. Who else has been a scorer besides Kp and rose?

It's going to be this trade, with Knicks getting rights to Cedi Osman from Cleveland, Alessandro Gentile from Houston and another 2nd round pick. My underpants tell me so.
