Crowder To Philly
I proposed this in both fanbases and they seemed ethustiastic
Crowder for Saric straight up
Boston get 4 of the future and clear cap for Hayward
Philly get crowder to replace Covington if they don't wanna pay him (crowder arguably better on a WAY better contract)

Bet with Stillwater Celtics will finish 6th or higher in ECF Standings Regular Season(17-18). [WON]

Saric is too good to trade for Crowder, even with having Simmons.

You can argue Saric has higher upside (I would disagree with this), but Jae is clearly the better player right now.

Re: Crowder To Philly
I kinda see the rub for PHI, but having Crowder means they really shouldnt resign Covington, which means he's trade fodder.. and what would they be looking for if they dealt Covington? Probably a PF, if not a guard.
I could conceivably see adding Covington and Bradley to it, but I think the cleanest scenario that doesnt involve picks moving is Covington for Crowder straight up

rather do a deal involving holmes... if i were both parties.
with the latvian kid possibly coming over in the next 2 years... he SHOULD be a decent backup/ holmes is so cheap now i'm sure he'll have a good payday at that point.
plus he gives boston some rim protection and can stretch it - saric is more of a hustle guy. holmes is making 1 mil the next 2 seasons... saric will make 2.5.

Twas me, I'm not sure who'd start or come off of the bench, but my logic is that he's more versatile in the positions that he can play because of who he (and RoCo) can defend. If we can find minutes for Saric, who is strictly a PF, then we should be able to find enough minutes at the SF and PF spots, maybe even occasionally SG, for Crowder and Covington.
I love Saric, but declining a trade for what I view as among the best bargain contracts in the NBA would be tough, and I likely couldn't do it. Lol.
That's my logic at least.

I'd be surprised if Philly doesnt think of Saric as a part of their core (alongside Fults/Embiid/Simmons). A playmaking stretch 4 who doesnt kill you on the boards or on defense is pretty rare. If it doesnt work out with him and Simmons, he's probably the 1st to go, but as is, I wouldnt sell him for Crowder (and i think pretty highly of Jae)

You gotta give something to get something. Your not getting Crowder for Okafor.
Might be able to work out a Jordan Mickey for Okafor.

Not at all. Redick is only on a one year deal.
Offense
Guards - Simmons and Fultz
Forwards - Crowder and Covington
Defense
PG - Fultz
Wings - Crowder and Covington
PF - Simmons

Re: Crowder To Philly
I'd do that. Makes a lot of sense for C's.
For Philly I actually don't think it's bad value, just makes you question what their plans are for a lot of other guys both in terms of their future and fit.

That's primarily how I envision it. Covington defended positions 1-4 last season and our defense is switch heavy, more so with the more capable defenders that we have. I think Crowder and Covington could work really well on defense defending the perimeter with Fultz and switching with Simmons/Embiid in PNRs.

yeah I think its preference/team building that would prevent something like this from happening. On paper yes Jae is better than Dario and Jae/RoCo in the same lineup would be a lot of fun and very versatile. But if this team is finally starting to build toward something team comradery is a part of that. Also in a perfect world Saric is playing the Simmons Lite role on the "night shift" (what Sixers people refer to as the bench unit). So while Saric doesn't necessarily fit with Simmons that is not an issue for this team as in the perfect case scenario they aren't even playing together. No reason to not expect Dario to be in the yearly running for 6MOTY if this thing continues to evolve the way the people around here expect it to.
