Just asking.
If agreements are anything like year's past and there aren't any no trade clauses, I believe mid-December.
Neither player is eligible for a no trade clause. You have to be an 8 year veteran and have played for that team for at least 4 years to be eligible for a no-trade clause.

It's obviously Fake News. We about to sign JJ. What the hell do we need Ryan Anderson for?

ESPN floats Carmelo trade idea that has Heat landing . . . Ryan Anderson
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-heat/fl-sp-miami-heat-carmelo-anthony-20170706-story.html
Rockets get:
Carmelo Anthony
Knicks get:
Trevor Ariza
Ryan Kelly
Shawn Long
Josh McRoberts
Tim Quarterman
Isaiah Taylor
2022 2nd-round pick (from Miami)
2022 2nd-round pick (from Houston)
Heat get:
Ryan Anderson
2020 1st-round pick (from Houston; protected 1-14)
Melo is 25 mil pil and Anderson is 20 mil pil to swallow, not big difference
Big no from me

if we can keep our squad, and add anderson and get a first while dumping bob thats a no brainer. with wiaters and jj, we are already locked into this core for the next 3-4 years, trades will be the only way to improve.
dragic/tj
dion/elington
mcgruder/winslow
anderson/jj
whiteside/bam
that team has it all, other than a top 10 nba player, good shooting, penetrating, defense. that would be fun to watch

Cap wise how is that even possible? After signing JJ and Ellington we have no space to absorb Anderson's 18 per contract.

Why is JJ's contract taking so long to work out? He said he'd take a discount, so it can't be annual salary.

Apparently all Ira does is quote and retweet other reports.
Not sure if it's because of the Heat's secretive nature or that he just isn't a very good beat writer, but I can do his job from my home. He never seems to be breaking news.

Re: Miami HEAT Offseason/Trades/FA Thread: Sardine Central 3.0
If u trade for Anderson forget about next year FA.
Anderson 3 years 20 mil
TJ 2 years 19 mil
add Dragić,Whiteside,Dion and JJ and u are on cca 110 mil
Riley needs players on good contracts like Dragić, Whiteside,Dion... for trading them for Whale
If u looking just for 2017/2018 season Anderson trade is not bad but for future years is really bad

I think the trade has the heat trading for Anderson instead of re-signing JJ. Also Anderson has 3 years at $19 mil+ each year on his contract. If it happened TJ and Anderson would be almost 2/5ths of the salary cap in salary for 2018 season.
Proud embarrassment

I'd love Ryan Anderson if he were 5 million cheaper per. He's actually a great fit next to Hassan and Justise. But yea unfortunately that contract.
