Okafor has been given nearly two years worth of chances. Okafor has been awful with all of his chances. We tried Embiid and Okafor together and it was a predictable disaster.

Give Okafor a chance
Team that wants to win

Pick one.

Okafor played with terrible guards, TJ,Sergio, and others were bad at defense, the whole team was bad, too judge him on those games is unfair. I admit he looked bad when he stopped trying for whatever reason. If, Okafor turns it around, there's rumors of him getting in better shape, he can be a valuable asset. Why throw that away for peanuts, when he could prove in a few games if he fits or not. Anyway, Okafor played well in a few games, he showed he can score when not being doubled. Also, the space station has League Pass.

More like the guards played with a terrible center in Okafor. You use those guards as a constant to compare lineups involving Okafor and Embiid/Noel/Holmes/Long. Why are the others succeeding with the same guards?

Lol @ the bolded. So we should just ignore two years of evidence for every player on the roster because the team was bad?

I've already told you why but I can't make you understand it. Because we need to make a decision on Okafor's option in October, and I'm skeptical that he will continue to be an asset if we pick up his 4th year option. I also don't think he's a valuable asset now and don't think he's worth the roster spot he'd be taking. You want to keep him on the off chance that he turns into a non-rebounding version of Enes Kanter, a player that can't be on the court vs the best teams in the league?

Yeah, moving Embiid to accommodate anybody, especially Okafor, would be negligent. Okafor's offense isn't very good. We want the ball in Embiid, Simmons, and likely Fultz' hands. He looked horrible next to Embiid, and he can't protect the rim.

I'd hate to help the celtics but this would be an amazing lineup.

What are we getting back?

Bradley and Crowder for saric and roco

Hell. No.

The Sixers and Boston made a deal already. Celtics got Tatum and (what I hope is) the 20th pick in 2019. Sixers got Fultz. Unless they want to give up an asset for Jahlil, not really interested in trading anymore with them.

Why? I didn't think you guys lost that deal he was a better fit and we got more value
Win win imo
Same as crowder for saric
Bet with Stillwater Celtics will finish 6th or higher in ECF Standings Regular Season(17-18). [WON]

I still think Philly won that trade. So, as the saying goes, you quit while you're ahead.

Plus Crowder is very duplicative with Covington and Saric has a valuable skill set that should be kept.

Basically, unless Ainge wants to do Okafor for Bradley, let him deal elsewhere.

Imo I like what we got
I like tatum and a top 5 pick over fultz just over fit and value

Anyway that's cool

From your lips to the Basketball Gods ears.

It's going to be close where the Lakers end up. Right now I'd say the bottom 8, in some order, are: Brooklyn, Atlanta, Phoenix, LA Lakers, Dallas, Orlando, New York, and Chicago. Really hoping the Lakers pick falls at 6 or 7, then Sacto hits the money in 2019 while the Sixers are a 4 seed and cough up the 20 pick back to Boston.

I thought the Fultz trade was pretty fair. We'll have to wait and see were that pick lands ultimately.

I think Roco is really underrated and wouldn't move him in those deals for Crowder.

Avery is expiring so I wouldn't give up much for him, but think he would be a great pickup for us. I wouldn't even move Dario since Avery will be available next summer. It wouldn't make sense to move anything too valuable.

Thoughts on this:

Okafor, Stauskas, and Bayless to DET for Reggie Jackson and Stanley Johnson.

Fultz/Jackson/McConnell
Redick/TLC/Korkmaz
Covington/S.Johnson/Anderson
Simmons/Saric/Bolden
Embiid/Holmes/A.Johnson

This lineup could be incredible. Embiid could be the ultimate PF for short durations, teams would not be able to stop them. The defense could be very strong.

:o I didn't know people like you still existed. There's been more confirmed sightings of Passenger Pigeons in the past 3 months than Prokafors.

What team would have a front court to stop them?

The problem is that playing Okafor and Embiid together hurts Embiid because he is forced away from the basket, and Okafor isn't good enough to warrant that.

Embiid is as good a prospect as we have ever had in Philly, and he needs to be put in the best situation for him to excel, no matter how it affects any other player.

It is pure serendipity that he and Simmons don't conflict at all, and further that Fultz compliments them both.

There is no player in the NBA that I would make Embiid accommodate. The rest of the team accommodates HIM.

That being said, Okafor fans are in exile because his sophomore season was such a failure, and there is very little ground to stand on. I still really like him as a prospect, and just want him off the Sixers so he can get a chance somewhere else, AND because he can't help us.

Like it - mainly for getting Bolden in the 15 - and I believe Detroit could be interested.

So now DET doesn't need KCP, and clearly doesn't want to pay him. Perhaps a S&T can be added into this somehow. Continuing to build the relationship with Rich Paul can't be bad for when it's time to re-do Ben, right?

Can KCP play the SF? They say he refused a 5yr, 80 mil deal or 16 mil a yr. Would an offer of 17 mil a yr work?

I think he's trying to say the Kings win the #1 pick, and the Sixers are a top 10 team.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
