Dudes have not watched him hoop since he was a Knick. His improvement this year was spectacular. Dude can very well become a core piece.

Is that why the Hawks are going to let him walk freely out the door? Do you think he fits well with Frank when neither are great ball handlers?

Hardaway Jr has really improved with Atlanta and he can be a solid scoring option. Dude literally is a player that can shoot it well, I think Dotson and him will thrive with Frank.

But the money is def $50 million overspent.

This leads me to believe, Knicks are going to trade Melo and Courtney Lee who is a GREAT trade asset. We need space and I think with Melo going out Lee will get us picks within a Melo trade

I felt like that was inevitable. You can't make this move without moving Lee AND Melo.

THJ is our #2 scorer next year.

Why do we have to deal with this Brickley guy now?

Reddick got 23. THJr is 24 for 8 more months. He could be 27 and a free agent. Not a bad deal I guess. At least he's young.

Crabbe got 4 years $74.3 million last year
Evan Turner got 4 years $70 million last year

I guess that is the market for supporting shooting guards that can be a starter

Where is he going to play? Right now he's the backup to Lee.

I have a feeling we're going to dump Lee for nothing.

Not to mention, are we really going into the season with Baker, Frank and Randle as our PGs? Because at this juncture, none of them can even bring the ball up the court without issues.

How does it help the tank? By tying up money for the next 4 years? Sorry, if we're going to tank, I'd rather tank AND have cap flexibility.

Is it really tying up money if Lee, O'Quinn, and Carmelo might not be on the roster on opening night?

Melo needs to be traded, but Lee and O'Quinn are on really cap friendly deals. Not that they shouldn't be traded as well, but they're hardly albatrosses on our cap space.

Give Frank a year to get his handle right. He's going to need to learn how to play on ball.

Melo could still possibly be traded if a legit offer comes about.
Lee I would guess is also available if THJR is a Knick and ATL doesn't match
Noah is going no where!

Don't assume people are trolling because they like this move. A lot of us actually liked Hardaway Jr when he was here. He was a first team all rookie-selection with us and was one of the only bright spots on that miserable team. He can flat out score and does it well from 3, taking it to the basket, off the dribble, spot up, off screens, he can do it all. I think right now he is better than guys like Reddick, Crabbe, Porter and many others who just got paid more than him.

He will be a potential trade asset too if his stats are where I project them to be.

Potential trade asset at $20 million per season and, at best, a barely average defensive player nah. Why invest in his future when he will be exiting his prime when our youth will be entering their prime?

How does it help the tank? THJ is a good player, we will win some games solely because of him

  Thjr is is not good enough to get you wins.

All he'll do is make the loses more interesting.

We are going to be the worst team in the league next year, and this signing only enhances that goal.
