I don't like both guys but dion waiters carried that scrub heat team. He's actually a player that did improve and worth something.

Hardaway improved just the same, came out a year after Waiters & is younger than Waiters, carried the bum Hawks towards the end of their regular season & has good character. So yeah.

Thats about all that timmy got on dion, better charachter. Talent wise is dion. Also both are only a year apart in age so I don't get how timmy has the edge on that one.

If Atlanta really wanted to keep him, what's $4M more per year, really?

A team, for example, can take back that much more in a trade than they're giving up, with a big enough amount in salaries being traded away.

Not huge if Atlanta really values him.

4 years 71 mil? Wow that's a lot of money for THJR.

Okay so Lance Thomas deal is a bargain respectively.
Are you fans of the team or the player?

Why? Melo took Timmy under his wing.

Side beard wrote:Timmy was decent last year. I think you guys are running in front of the train too quick. 71/4 is too much for such player, but if he stays healthy and produces, you'll forget his contract. Only thing I hope he understands is that Porzingis/Frank is the future and not him when he plays.

The man is about to get paid 71 million on a 4 year contract. If he signs here, he's our franchise and future. This is another 30 win season. Why can't we just tank properly.

Rudy Gay just signed like for 8. 5 per for two years. Money seems to be drying up for older guys. Nba seems to be going in mlb direction where teams are really not wanting to throw big money at guys over a certain age.

Not sure how you can undoubtedly say Dion Waiters is better than Tim Hardaway Jr.

Wonder what the reaction would've been if we signed Dion Waiters to a 4yr/$71M contract. Lmaoo

I thought Melo and him clashed a lot towards end of Timmy's time here? But who knows really...

Also, guess the FO liked what they saw from Timmy more than going after KCP of the Pistons.

This move is a joke. I'm not into it anymore. That will actually help me of moving away from the Knicks following 25 yrs of support.

Hardaway was a disaster of a pick. No defense, no rebounding, no ball sharing. Dude was all about ball stopping and clanking. He couldn't shoot at home. 4/71 ?? Dude could shoot that from three at the Garden in March.

I'm not buying the BS he got better in Atlanta. The Hawks have a great system, which produced record shooting from Kyle Korver, and produced better scoring numbers for Tim, but with him, they got worse as a team.

This is beyond ridiculous. Y'all wanted Phil away despite he was fiscally responsible with the team.
I am still shocked by Phil's firing, but I didn't think Mills could turn the team back into the laughing stock it was under Scott Layden or Isiah Thomas this quick. Smh. RIP this team. I wouldn't be surprised now they keep Melo.

Poor Frank. To play alongside Hardaway and Anthony was not what he was hoping for when he got drafted. He's going to get mad at all the switching in D, these guys can't guard a damn wheelchair on the 3pt line.

The hawks didn't get worse because of Hardaway man. That team had a limited shelf life.
