Boston moved him to get Hayward. They're trying to work out a S&T deal.

I'm an optimist so I'm going to say that Hardaway will take a big step forward this season, average 20pts / 4 ast, make the all-star team, and throw it down in Lebron's face at least one time.

Then move Courtney Lee to OKC for Alex Abrines, Kyle Singler and a 2nd round pick.

Then finish up with Lance Thomas and Kyle O'Quinn for Cole Aldrich (2M guaranteed next year) and Nemanja Bjelica (last year on deal).

Cory Joseph - Frank Ntilikina - Ron Baker
THJ - Alex Abrines - Chasson Randle
DeMarre Carroll - Mindaugas Kuzminskas - Damyean Dotson
KP - Nemanja Bjelica - Kyle Singler
Willy Hernangomez - Joakim Noah - Cole Aldrich

or

Frank Ntilikina - Ron Baker - Chasson Randle
THJ - Alex Abrines - Damyean Dotson
Mo Harkless - Mindaugas Kuzminskas - Kyle Singler
KP - Nemanja Bjelica - Meyers Leonard
Willy Hernangomez - Joakim Noah - Cole Aldrich

This would give the team a solid young core.

A solid young core of what exactly? Beside Ron Baker, Meyers Leonard and the players we already have, I don't know what purpose those other mfers would serve here..

Mo Harkless, Cory Joseph types are the kind of players that I'd like to see get bigger roles and see what they can do. No one is going to give proven young starters for our old guys. This is honestly the best case realistic scenario in my mind.

saw it live. he balled out like crazy in that game.

he looks like he can be a really solid player for years to come.

people are overreacting a little because of the dollar amount which is fair... especially based on the knicks history of bad contracts. but I'll be happy to have him back on the knicks.

knicks shouldn't be looking to actually sign big name free agents for years anyways so cap space isn't that important.

Which is much more room then they needed to sign Hayward.

If you changed nothing about THJ's scoring ability, and told me he was a league average defender and league average passer, I would say it's not a bad deal. Unfortunately, he is bad at those two things.

At least he got two years of training from a functional NBA coach....

where is brown, tatum, crowder, and hayward all going to play?

Bradley was there starting SG? Now they have to move Smart into the starting lineup and weaken there bench.

Should have just moved Jae Crowder IMO.

They needed a PF so Morris is a solid pick up who is griddy and can score. This opens up the possibility to run smart full time at point with IT at SG. Idk what they're doing forget it lol.

NO No! He plays PF for the Pistons and would be playing the same for the Celtics.

I keep seeing people say this. Why does everyone think he's gone? And KCP was trash after all star break. Way worse than his 2nd and 3rd year. Tim had a better season and he's only a year older. If we didn't have Phil signing Noah we could've afforded KCP anyway and had a young 1-5 lineup with Frank-KCP-Timmy-KP-Willy. That's a great young starting 5. Great length, great defense all around (yes Timmy was a good defender in Atlanta), and great shooting. Just lacking ball handling and iso scoring (Timmy is still inconsistent).
