Wish we made that offer to KCP now that he's likely out of Detroit.
Go Knicks!

Am I wrong for loving that starting 5?

If this all ends with us adding Porter or Doncic it'll all be worth it. Porter would be a damned game changer.

THJ will likely be our 2nd best player next year. We will be top 5 pick bad next year.

They gotta stack up on all the SFs to throw at Lebron. Use up all the fouls.

I'd change one thing -- THj's best position may be the 3, not 2.

This is a move that Phil just wouldn't have done. It's not an argument, just a fact.

Is it fair to compare players when one is hurt, and the other one is healthy ?
No.

Noah was hurt all season. The Bulls were sad to see him leave. The Hawks won't miss Jr.

Noah had been hurt for most of the previous season (and had been clearly on a decline for several seasons) BEFORE Jackson gave him that silly contract. If Noah was still remotely in his prime, signed and then got injured, sure...can't blame Jackson. But it was clear that Noah could very well be done when Jackson signed him. And the only rumored interested (Wizards) turned out to be bogus.

sometimes risk are taken in this league. Pjax took a risk on Noah since he wasn't THAT far removed from his better playing days, but unfortunately it didn't work out. If it did, we wouldn't be calling it a silly contract. This move by dolan or mills is a risk as well and we will see how it pans out.

You're absolutely right. Both were risks.

That risk was on an older player who was passed his prime coming off his worst season

This risk is on a younger player who is entering his prime coming off his best season.

I'm not advocating for it but defending the Noah and bashing this one is asinine

he guarded the perimeter players more than Tobias harris.

Harris played KP when they played us Morris played melo...you are not correct.

When John Leaur started Morris played SF too

He's capable but he's a PF.

His brother is more of the prototypical PF. He's a bit shorter and is a pretty good perimter defender. He is not a great rebounder either so really doesn't make sense. They would have a really smallish front court with Horford and Morris starting at the 5 and 4.

The pistons roster is a disaster. They are asset-less.

My worry is that THJ is good enough to win us some garbage games to kill our lottery standing.

Tweener.

SF/PF

correct but with Horford at the 5 its a horrible front court in terms of interior defense and rebounding.

I don't like it but if we commit to running with kp thjr and frank then it's whatever.

We're not contending in the next 4 years so just get guys to help us build an identity.

That has more to do with how bad of a defender Harris is than Morris being a 3. Morris is a small ball PF but is mobile enough to be a versatile defender.
