Since Detroit renounced Caldwell-Pope, shouldn't the Heat see if they can sign him?

Not looking like we are making a move for a SF. Winslow-J Rich-McGruder it is. I could live with that. We do desperately need another PG tho. We currently have one roster spot left

PF James Johnson PF Bam Adebayo C/PF Udonis Haslem
SF Josh Richardson SF Justise Winslow SF Okaro White

*Add in Maurice Harkless and Myers Leonard = $106.13 for Portland's 6-man rotation

In '17-18 Miami Heat have $87.04 committed to a 7-man rotation of:

Hassan Whiteside
Goran Dragic
James Johnson
Dion Waiters
Kelly Olynyk
Tyler Johnson
Justise Winslow

*Add in Wayne Ellington, Bam Adebayo, Josh Richardson, Rodney McGruder, Okaro White = $99.89 for Miami's 12-man roster

I love staying under the radar and sticking with this squad continues that aspect. We are going to turn a lot of heads if last season wasn't a fluke.

This right here is the problem. This is so unrealistic, that once we find ourselves in the 6-8 spot, everyone will be calling to fire Spo or trade everyone.

I'm going to approach this season (and the next few) the same as I did last season. Have minimal expectations, hope to make the playoffs, hope to have at least 1 all star, hope to see Winslow grow as a player, hope to see Bam establish himself as a reliable backup and overall hope to see this team fight and grind. Anything beyond that is gravy.

Doubt we use the MLE at this point. Probably take it into the season and have in the back pocket in case somebody gets bought out that we could use.

Lmao I'm trying to estimate Washington's payroll next season after they max out Wall and Porter:

Wall 39.07
Porter 24.77
Beal 23.78
Mahinmi 16.66
Gortat 12.78

5 players: 117.03

Ouch

Aren't they planning on using it on Ellington?

Look at the East.

1.Cavaliers
2.Celtics
3.Raptors?
4.Heat
5.76ers
6.Bucks
?
?

Anything lower than the 5th seed would be a disappointment.

it' hard to gauge the east, i think boston and cleveland will be 50 win teams.

have to figure us, toronto and washington are going to be somewhere between 45-50 wins.

then probably charlotte, Milwaukee and detroit or philly

We absolutely should be the 5 seed. There's no reason not to be.

I see others have already corrected you, but I see the Wizards & the Bucks definitely being better. I would say it is between us, Charlotte & Detroit for spots 6-8.

We should win 45 games. That's just a little above .500 ball.
