I'll take Devin Booker over anyone. And Chriss and Bender and TJ and Ulis and Bledsoe and so on.....I don't envy others. If it ain't Steph Curry and Durant and Thompson and Green they ain't good enough....

I've gone with someone in the same draft class as him. Myles Turner time.

And here I was thinking I shouldn't have done this poll because Book would get beat by more than Porzingis.

I value the Myles Turner player archetype more than the Booker archetype, but Booker's shown me more than Turner so far, which is why I'm voting for Book.

Only player I've voted over Book so far has been Porzingis.

Turner is better at this stage but doesn't have the no.1 option potential as Booker due to scoring.

Booker over everyone except Porzingis and Jokic.

But Booker + Bender over those guys as well!

Enter the Dragan!

I wholeheartedly disagree with this but it really comes down to what you're looking for. I'm not going to go down the statistical path because everyone knows Book is more than a stats man. I will object to anyone who thinks Book has statistically outperformed Turner, however.

Harden is 27. Booker is 20. Given where our team is and the fact that the Warriors exist, why on earth would we be picking Harden?

Also, if you want to compare their relative skills--Booker at 20 is much further along than Harden was at 20.

Based on what? Harden wasn't playing a starring role on a dreadful team.

I think i'm just gonna stay outta this thread, homerism is too strong.

Based on numbers, production, skill level, actually having watched Harden in college and as a pro. Also how the league viewed them at the same age. Yeah. All of that.

Also, playing a minor role to Westbrook and Durant isn't exactly a bad thing relative to entire NBA defenses being geared around you. I would argue Harden has had it way easier at the age of 20, particularly comparing shot difficulty for both of them at the same ages.

I think this thread is fueling that homerism. It looks to me like a lot of people have just started voting a strict Booker line regardless of opponent. Honestly, I see no positive purpose in a thread like this and as a fan, I've grown tired of the anti-Booker league wide contingent so I'm voting Booker every time. And from the comments here, I know I'm not alone. But most of us realize it's all speculative and in the future, Booker has done nothing to put him even or above almost any of the names floated here.

I agree. Some of you guys are trying too hard to be "objective". This is a Suns forum, you don't need to be perfectly objective. It's not a fault to be hyped or to be hopeful.

Next is Michael Jordan prime vs Booker and I expect Booker to win that too... I see a pattern.

good ;)

he lost to Porzingis I think and as I'm typing this right now he's losing to Harden 22-9

well the actual poll numbers shouldn't mean much, the value is derived in the discussion the comparisons bring.

And from the comments here, I know I'm not alone. But most of us realize it's all speculative and in the future, Booker has done nothing to put him even or above almost any of the names floated here.

that's very true but not entirely relevant. Lottery picks have proven less than Booker but fans/FOs often value them over proven superstars near the end of their contracts.

That should tell you something right there. I'm a lifetime Suns fan and I make no apologies about it. I believe in Booker and I expect him to become an all time great. I know the odds are well against it (and that's a huge understatement) but that's just how I look at things. I'll be realistic when the need is there but if we're fantasizing about futures, I'll take the best possible Suns future I can find. If I had to bet my house, no way would I stand in the Booker over Harden line and I think that's true for almost everyone on this planet. But here we are, almost a third of the voters are picking Devin over Harden.

There are some guys no matter how good they are, i just wouldn't want on this team and Harden is one of them.
