We had a few silly silly deals being handed out the 1st day of free agency, but most teams (other then the dumpster fire Knicks) have been pretty restrained.

Rich Paul probably demanding close to 20 million a year for KCP. You just know it.

Bledsoe renegotiations will be hell... Trade him.

I think if KCP gets 20m - than a guy like Bledsoe might be in excess of that - and he will be 29 years old.

So that is the reason to think about trading now - teams would have him two more years before that decision is made.

Ryan is quiet about these things and than all of the sudden, WojBomb! or maybe a ShelBomb! (she had George to OKC)

really....already discussing next yrs pick ????? Cant we go into this season with just a glimmer of a notion to win games? This is subtle tank talk you are engaging in.

I think half of you around here are so used to losing that it has become second nature

I'm all for wanting to do well, but with the West so stacked, and no major changes to our roster (other than experience), there's no real reason to think we won't be in the bottom 5-10 picks next year, right? I'm hopeful we can make a young run at some playoffs, but logic tells me not even close.

Barring injury, Bledsoe/Paul's number will be nearing 30 for sure. Lowry got 33.

I agree. We have to live the present...and "the present" plays tonight in Summer League" :D

We have a talented and young roster, enjoy the ride mates.

Yeah, I'm super excited. I think the Bender/Chriss/Jackson trio should be awesome. I keep watching JJ highlights and really like his passing underneath the basket. I just really wish Ulis was playing too.

Lol

Read on the general boards Rich Paul wanted 106 Million for 4 years for KCP??

He'll definitely ask for 35 Million a year for Bledsoe.... stuff that.

I don't see him (Bledsoe) getting more than holiday.
Kcp contract might tell us if trading him is a necessity

Rich Paul doesn't care what others are getting. He will demand a max for Bledsoe, just like last time.

If Monk had fallen a bit more to Denver and we could have nabbed Monk & Mudiay for Bledsoe, I would have taken it.

Our last good chance to move Bledsoe will be by the deadline this year. If there is a team that needs "one more piece" to either make the playoffs or compete in the top 4, we might get them to overpay.

I'd watch the Clippers, Lakers, Wolves, Denver, Philly, and NOP.

This.

I'd love for the Suns to make the push for a playoff spot, but seeing how deep the West is this year, the Suns are almost guaranteed to finish in the bottom 4 along with the Lakers, Mavs, and Kings. I can see us finishing better than a few of the teams in the East such as the Nets, Hawks, Bulls, Knicks, and Pacers, but we are pretty much guaranteed a top 10 pick in next year's draft.

I have an oddly optimistic view of the Suns this coming season. I'm not saying they will make the playoffs or anything but I think they will be better than most national people think. I also think this will be one of the funnest suns teams in a while.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I agree with this. We have our core four and they are very versatile, athletic, and all have high energy. I'm hoping we compete every night, and while I don't think we should openly tank (in the sense of throwing games), I don't think a bad record at the end of the year is a detriment to the franchise or the players.

I hope we finally get the #1 pick next year. Perfect for the rebuild.

I personally don't care about wins until it's 50.

We've had 23 to 48 this decade and it's led to the same thing.

But I don't pay for season seats.

Detroit renouncing is the best thing. Rich Paul has negotiated RFA contracts where teams feel obligated to resign their youngster. He is now going to have to do negotiations on the open market. He never did get a competing bid for Bledsoe.

I think they will be fun and tight knit with good chemistry and you never know how the chemistry will work out with some of these other teams (Minn, OKC, etc) so I think we will win games because of that, but overall our shooting has to be much improved as well as our defense. Obviously everyone theoretically should improve defensively, plus Jackson helps there as does Reed. Shooting is the big question mark.

10 Man Rotation Age:

Bender 19
Booker 20
Jackson 20
Chriss 20
Ulis 21
Reed 22
Warren 24
Williams 24
Bledsoe 27
Chandler 35

Even GSW / OKC with that age profile still sucked.
