Lonzo has been put into a bad situation because of his dad and ESPN. With his dad's non stop talking and then add ESPN basically hiring Lavar as an on air personality because hes on their shows so much, to now ESPN talking non stop about Ball. It makes people not want to root for Lonzo.

So far, my issues with Lonzo have been showing up, which is a bummer with how good Tatum has looked out of the gate. Runs to the 3 point line and passes it away, can't/hasn't really shown anything in the half court. AN inauspicious start, thats for sure (I know not to overreact to SL games, but it would be nice to have a reason to overreact).

Yep. I'm trying hard to separate the father and media from Lonzo.

He's Jason Kidd though even though he can't get past the 3 point line dribbling, can't dribble, is the worst pick and roll pg in SL, and can't defend.

Lonzo was put into a bad situation from being drafted #2 overall

Looked like a man amongst boys against a very stout Toronto front line.......offensively. He is so quick and skilled, it's pretty easy for him.

He still needs to get stronger and move better defensively IMO. But the guy is going to be a player.

yea i saw some highlights and his stroke, touch and straight line drives look good. His range looks to have gotten longer as well, but that doesn't tell me much about his rebounding and defense.

Can definitely see the weight gain.

He's obviously been working on the same path that AD did. He's added some offensive moves, and made a lot of aggressive drives with short one handed push shots. Very similar to what AD does.

I don't question at all his scoring. But I think he's too athletic not to protect the rim better. Took AD a while too, so we'll see.

who's the last bigman who was immediately good defensively coming into the league? Noah wasn't, Chandler wasn't, DAJ wasn't, Gobert is probably the closest.

Diallo will get there too, at least as an above average defender. This year I'm just hoping for some rebounding and 3rd big, bench level play. That would be wonderful.

Sucks at pick and roll just another important part of nba basketball he's not good at

Do you guys know who's his teacher? MAGIC FREAKING JOHNSON!
Lonzo would be a complete bum if he can't learn from Magic. He'll be fine.

Listen, Lonzo had plenty of chances to tell his dad to sit back and tone it down, all accounts are he didn't. It may be his Dad who was overhyping him like crazy and making him unlikable as was ESPN, but he did NOTHING to stop it,

Lonzo's passing is overrated.... always looking to push the ball ahead because you don't have any other NBA skill doesn't make you a good passer.

Next we're gonna start hearing Laker fans asking for hockey assists to be officially counted in box scores.

Ingram looks like night and day from last year's SL games (which he should). Looks much better in transition and great vision for his size as well.

SL is especially unkind to passers - they're unfamiliar with their teammates and it's chaotic - it affected Simmons as well. When Ball's shot begins falling he'll be better off, just an off game imo.

Ball made lot of shots from NBA distance in college, something like 37-38%, he can shoot from deep.

Johnson has looked solid i must say. Best clipper by a mile.

Our defense on the other hand, you would think D'Antoni was still coaching us.
