The game goes on and he puts us in 5 on 4 situations several times each game. This was a big issue when he was at U-Dub and it's just as obvious today. That's got to stop.

This is a bad habit he needs to break. They might have to start pulling him from games when he pouts instead of getting back. I honestly don't mind some of the edge he plays with because you need some guys like but theres a line you can't cross.

Reed was excellent, qwigglez had a Middleton comp earlier in this thread and I can see that.

Jones and James were fine no complaints there.

I liked what I saw from Jackson. Love the aggressiveness taking to the hoop and he was active all over the floor.

Bender is a mixed bag. His stroke looks nice and I like that he wasn't hesitating to take an open shot. When he has the ball its an adventure, you see some glimpses of what people like but other times he looks very very raw.

Chriss- damn has he put on some muscle. He battled with papa well. He needs to settle the **** down. Hes out of control both litterally on the court and emotionally. But there are times where the dude shows his insane physical tallent. Bad shooting night but of the negatives that's not a huge worry for me.

I don't think it's an argument that Jackson has better foot speed than Warren, even if I believe Warren's athleticism is often overlooked. I just believe Warren is the better player at the moment, and if you are trying to win games, you go with the guy who is going to give you the best chance to win.

I've seen enough of Warren to say he is not a starter in the league, the Suns just dont have a better option...YET

I think you're wrong. I expect to see him average 20+ for the next decade or so.

I dont know about you guys but I enjoy watching our teams play one another. Both are young, there ties from the draft day trade, and a little drama sprinkled in from Papagiannis and Bender. Chriss had no issues jumping into the beef as well. Anyways good game it looks like Chriss put on some muscle! If/when he adds strength to his already ridiculous athleticism, watch out! Good game fellas.

Thank you, Giles was my favorite prospect before his 2nd acl injury and I've hoped for a full recovery since then.

The rookies looked much better than "the veterans" in this game, for both teams. Reed especially stood out. He was as good as advertised with his deflections, eurosteps, shooting and creative finishing.

Saw encouraging things from everyone. Good game and a good time to work out the kinks.

That was a fun game, hope they play again in the tournament.

Fox was awesome. Dude could be a real good one. Justin jackson looked nice too.

Troy Williams with 29 points for Houston. Really wish we had cut Archie earlier to sign Troy.

Archie actually looked pretty decent for Brooklyn today

Biggest take away from the game for me is that we can't include Warren in any deals right now. He has more game than any of these other youngsters.

Josh Jackson: Solid game for JJ overall w a bit of scoring, rebounding, and defense. Started the game going 1-6... Still managed to bounce back and get whatever he could at the line despite his shot not falling. Surprised at all the people raising concerns about him - he couldn't finish but he got penetration all he wanted, and getting to your scoring spots effectively is more important than just finishing at this stage. Who else's jaw is on the floor after watching JJ keep up with De'aaron on d???

Marquese Chriss: while marquese is certainly a dangerous finisher inside, his problem is actually getting there. It was hard to watch marquese trying to drive out of post ups tonight as he clearly needs to tighten his footwork, balance, and grip on the ball to prevent getting ripped every possession. Good rebounder and shot blocker, but his limitations on offense that I tried to blissfully ignore last season are slowly emerging.

Dragan Bender: I'm sorry, but the only thing I could think of watching bender trip and fall every other fast break was Shaq screaming "tragic Bronson alert". Still bender is a very smart basketball player. It's just that his skills have yet to match that impressive IQ. Every time I watch Bender, he seems to intrigue me more and more... he moves and passes so well, and his shot is definitely on its way. What really gets me drooling is watching him and jackson play defense together. If Bender can become an offensive threat outside of shooting, they can be a fantastic tandem.

Davon Reed: I love guys who dont get caught up in looking like a star and just put their heads down to work. Davon clearly knows his niche and played to it beautifully tonight. Those back to back 3's in the first shook me out of my offensive draught daze, but he really impressed me with his solid line drives and fundamentals. He seemed a bit heavy footed defending Fox, but who isn't?

Fox: Better than Lonzo.

That's a pretty gutsy statement. I don't agree with it but kudos to you for putting yourself out like that.

Jackson is my age, and judging from interviews he actually has a similar personality and humor to me and my friends. There's something special to me about the thought that if met my new favorite sun on the street I could genuinely get along w him.

Impressive game by Jackson and Bender on defense.

On offense, I thought Jackson played within himself, and largely took what was given. I think he'll be a very good player as long as he keeps working on that shot. Hustle, motor and IQ are all excellent.

Bender on the other hand was very bad on offense. The only thing he literally does is jack up shots. Very little ability to put the ball on the floor. The shot itself isn't bad, but the selection desperately needs to improve, plus he really needs to start putting the ball on the floor and attacking the basket from time to time.

Wasn't very impressed with Mike James. He's not really an orchestrator. We'd have looked miles better with Ulis on the floor.

Chriss' defense was decent, though the fouling is a concern. I was disappointed with his finishing and shooting today though.
