I was actually thinking the same early. I don't think they are even thinking about trading him. He is our most consistent scorer now, and his D is improving. If he can get passable hitting the 3, he will be very valuable.

I do hope KCP holds out for his Nets max because I fear a Warren max offer next year if they miss out. However, with their Booker coming off the books, they might be able to offer another max anyway, but at this point it would likely be for a big.

Is available the complete game to watch on any place? I couldn't watch it and I don't want to pay League Pass for only this game.

Check out this gem, courtesy of the Kings board

Some might think I'm crazy, but I honestly wouldn't take Marquese Chriss on this team for free. His attitude is toxic. He's a selfish, arrogant, childish person

I mentioned in the other thread how NBA ready Reed is... And this game showed that.

The thing annoying about SL... Is too many players playing like headless chooks. Which works well dor the really gifted... But not the rest just looks out of control or amateur.

Reed... Looked poised. Efficient movement, ball movement and at the right places most of the time. Kind of guy who coaches will love. I like him... I see potentially a system player who gets the job done if he keeps this up.

Somehow this set of quotes didn't come out correctly, I'm actually the poster that made the Warren prediction. And if you're talking about my prediction rather than the one I was responding to, I'm actually quite confident about him putting up 20+ per game - doing it for 10 years is the real iffy part. Regardless, I think he's a scoring machine that has come nowhere close to his peak. I really would not be surprised to see him knock out a couple of 25 point seasons when he hits his peak in a year or two.

I don't share that opinion... This guy really dislikes Chriss. Some Kings fans have Boogie PTSD when we see players complain a lot.

I understand how some fans can see Chriss as being a punk/arrogant or whatever you want to call it. But saying you wouldn't want Chriss for free just stood out to me as ridiculous.

Chriss still needs to build up his BBIQ, but damn did he look great physically. That's a NBA Power Forward right there.

Bender had some flubs on offense, but overall I was happy with his performance. Seemed to have some great chemistry with Jackson.

Josh Jackson had the game I was hoping he would have. Attacked, but wasn't overly aggressive, rebounded and defended. Most importantly in my min was going 6/7 at the charity stripe. His release looked much more fluid, and that bodes very well for him.

DJJr HIT A 3! AND HIS 2ND ATTEMPT LOOKED PRETTY GOOD! I'm hoping to see some more of this throughout Summer League.

I said that Reed needed to impress me, and he did just that. Should add some great versatility to our squad.

I was kind of disappointed by Mike James and was quite surprised to see how good his box score looked. I wish Stockton would've gotten a little more burn, but this game looked like we were playing the guys who will (most likely) be on the main roster next season.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Yeah as far as I'm concerned that part doesn't even deserve a response it's so ridiculous.

The game goes on and he puts us in 5 on 4 situations several times each game. This was a big issue when he was at U-Dub and it's just as obvious today. That's got to stop.

Yes that is perhaps one of my biggest pet peeves to see in a player. Another is over-flopping. I don't mind flopping every once in a while, but when I was watching Wade play in the Finals several years ago he literally fell after every play. But back to your point, Chriss does that too often and it reminds me of YMCA ball, where dude gets ripped and then just stands there, lets them score 4 on 5 and then proceeds to ask for the ball again looking for a make up play.

Based only on highlights from the game :

Bender : Looks bulkier than last year, which combined with not being the most fluid/agile player puts an end to the point-forward debate for me. Looks best suited as a stretch 4, or a replacement for Len at C. I hope I don't lose interest at him as with Len in a year or two, turning into a mediocre role player. I know that good D not always shows in stat sheets, but at some point I would like to see something there (0 blk, 0stl, 5 rebs in 31 min is not enough).

Chriss : still more a Markieff than Amare in my eyes, his attitude and desire to work will determine in which direction he will go

Reed : Devin + Davon at the SG position is the future. Nice job McDonough, this is the way to prove your skills by reaching for players that turn out good

Jackson : actually his shooting looks pretty good by not having to watch his misses in the highlights :) IMO he will turn into a fan/coach favorite fast and will be starting at some point during the season despite not being a better player than Warren at this stage of their careers.

Jackson is quality all around. Looks like he is going to be great on the court and off (his interview with the Starters was very impressive. Mature, sincere and intelligent).

Jackson is a keeper.
I really like the Ariza with passing and dribbling ability comparison.... Minus the 3pt shot... For now lol.

He finds ways to get to the paint... Can dribble very well... He can play point forward Game 1 IMO. And he rebounds well... Also very active defensively.. Gets low to the ground... Can cover almost all positions

Fox is the truth. Kid will be a superstar I have no doubt.

Didn't get to watch Lonzo but sounds like he had problems - still think his lack of quickness is going to kill him at the NBA level.

Reed's highlights looked excellent. Refreshing to a have a rookie come in that isn't completely raw.

JJ's energy is really noticeable - he's jumpy like a dude that's had 6 coffees before hitting the court. Very good debut.

Will reserve judgement on the returning guys until next game which I'll actually watch.

There would be no point to this entire website if we didn't have opinions and share them.

I thought everyone besides Bender and James looked impressive.

Bender reminds me of Dragic his first couple years here after getting drafted. High IQ but plays scared and is nervous as hell but shows a lot of promise.

I don't understand why the Mike James signing got so much hype. He's played like this before for us in previous summer leagues and he never looked like some special talent then either.

Very, very impressed by Jackson and Reed.

Fox is so fast and quick. I still think teams will just dare him to take long range shots and he will struggle putting up points. But defensively... He is going to be pesky.

Jackson's shot improved as the game went on. His release is funny though... The ball hits his hair... I know i know there was this article showing players shooting badly because they try to avoid their hair but this is ridiculous... He may have to cut his hair lol.
But everything else is there as per advertised... Happy with him.

Reed I already mentioned I see as a coach favourite for many teams if he keeps on track.

I liked Justin Jackson also... Not afraid to take those shots.

But all in all... This is Summer league.... Everyone is out there trying to showcase themselves rather than implement the team system so its hard to really gauge. But athleticism, skills and work ethic can be seen well enough... Chriss needs to stop sooking and get back to defense... I mean his one on one defense is already bad... He needs to keep his team defense at an acceptable level by actually getting back.
