Jeff Green Signs With Cavs/Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Sat Jul 8, 2017 3:48 am

Jeff Green is leaving for Cleveland.

He got 1 year and $2.3 million.

It really didn't work out here and no one really expected him to be back.

I wish him the best.

I really enjoyed Jeff Green. No joke. He was the captain of the bench mob. He was a hero to many. Great in the community did a ton a charitable work. Also enjoyed watching his laid back attitude, chatting with the opposing team and joking with them at the free throw line. Will be missed. Really think he and Frye were cut from a similar cloth and those two will have a good time playing together in Cleveland.

Hennigan: "Wow, that's a bargain :o "
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

But did you enjoy him on the court is the question...

I think he could have gotten us a couple more losses after the AS break but he did his best. Another failed signing. Getting used to them.

Uncle Jeff is a nice guy and he never shied away from doing media and answering questions as the losses piled up.

But man was he horrendous last year.

Good riddance.

I'm shocked a contender picked him up. I was wondering if his NBA career was over after last season.

Beyond thrilled he will no longer be on the Orlando Magic. He may be able to attack the paint a bit more there though with the amount of shooters Cleveland will deploy out there.

Cavs, another in a long line of teams probably thinking they might be the team to be able to get something positive out of Jeff Green. At least THEY have LeBron.

Just like Drew Gooden, I more than appreciate that Green is officially gone to another team and will stay away from the Magic.

LIke Frye and many other former Magicians, Green will probably play great for them.
