I got my hopes up that this time might be different.

I'm actually not even sure that Ernie can be fired. For all we know, Ted has been trying to fire him for the last six years and can't. In fact, doesn't this explanation seem more plausible than "Ted thinks Ernie i good and that he's been doing a good job"?

Ted you've been going about this the wrong way. You don't need lawyers and HR people, you need an exorcist.

From Woj:

Wizards general manager Ernie Grunfeld is expected to have his future solidified in the near future, league sources said.

unbelievable. Worst case scenario. Absolute nightmare. Even if he **** the off-season up. God damn it all.

From Terd's Take:
We all are appreciative of the effort and contributions of Randy Wittman. He took over the Wizards coaching reigns at a difficult time and immediately earned the respect of our players. Randy twice guided us to the second round of the NBA playoffs, but we had a disappointing season and felt a coaching change was necessary. Ernie Grunfeld immediately will begin the search for a replacement.

I wish Randy and his family the best and always will remember his professional, hardworking and honest approach. Thank you Coach Wittman.

If Randy is professional, hardworking, and honest then this owner is quite the puppet or he's full of crap or both.

Why do you fire that and keep dullard, disingenuous, and self-serving?
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

You don't need scouts at all if you consistently trade away all of your picks. EG is just demonstrating how efficiently he can run a front office.

To tell you the truth, I'm a bit nervous about the Trade Deadline this year. We're about $5M over the cap and my guess is that we've been unsuccessful in our attempt at moving Jason Smith. I'd say there's at least a 50% chance that EG sacrifices yet another 1st round pick to unload that contract and get us under the luxtax threshold.

If we have a good record you can count on it. If we implode some, then maybe it won't happen.

Why oh why does this conceited & incompetent time-server still have a job?

Dan was a good player at Stanford and played overseas. I don't believe he's working for pops.
