Bold prediction: Hardaway ends up being better suited as a 6th Man like Crawford.

I'm more interested in what the Knicks do next, they should start by hiring a new President/GM, Dolan should remove Mills, don't let him make any roster type moves... trade Melo/Lee and sign Rondo.

Of course he can average 19 a game without Melo. KP is deferential and the team lacks scoring.

Looks of not great players have scored 19-22 ppg on bad teams.

And the Knicks minus Melo will be bad, with a lot of shot opportunities. They'll be bad with Melo, but he's taking 20 shots per game.

I think this is clearly what has to happen. Good thing is, now we have two tradeable assets (yes, even Melo) that we can move. Moving Lee before was a tad risky as we had nobody behind him. Now we have his replacement (7 years younger), which makes it easier to find the best deal for Lee. Hopefully it's for cap relief.

Lee is a good soldier so they don't have to just give him away.

Melo on the other hand MUST go. Trade him for any expiring or 2 year deal contracts.

That's my hope in a Melo deal. Either 24 year old Harkless or 23 year old Warren. I don't even need future picks in return. Just get Melo out of here. The culture and locker room needs a new face and voice desperately.

Personally I'd deal melo to CLE for Frye, Shump, Rj, rights to Cedi Osman

Then deal Lee for whatever pick we can get.
