Atlanta should find a ball-mover and experiment with Dennis at the 2 some. Yeah he doesn't play much D but he won't at either position. Dennis likes to score the ball.

Wonder what jersey number he'll rock when he gets here. Lee currently has 5 and 10 is retired. 0 or 3 would be dope

Wasn't Mills supposed to be the money guy (under Phil Jackson) I mean if he can't even do that (as this deal shows) what exactly is Dolan keeping him around for, I mean next we will hear that he is going to be our newest President and GM SMH.

rondo is a pos and should never be in the league. he's a cancer and only plays well if it's nationally televised.

no thank you to that bum.

Lee + top 15 protected 1st rounder for Bledsoe. Keep the youth movement going and solidify the most important position with two young PG's (Bledsoe + Frank) that can lead us for the next decade.

Let's see if some of you are with me.

I'm ok with Timmy here with his contract.
Want Melo out.
Want KP to be number 1.
Want to have a young team.
Want an improved Timmy.
Want to to still suck the next 2 to 3 years to get high draft picks.

I think that's what our future looks like. And I love it.

I'd really hate that, because it would set back your evolution into an empathetic, intelligent, and interesting member of this board by years.

- I don't like THJR contract
- I would trade Melo if it is a fair deal, no buy out though.
- KP needs to step his game up if he wants to be a number one option and he should get that opportunity.
- If they are tanking than yes a young and inexpensive team would have been the way to go, but when winning a mix of young and vets is the way to go.
- Of course we want an improved Timmy, if he isn't than the deal looks that much worse... he needs to take his game to the next level and be a all star caliber player with good stats all around.
- I would rather win but the Knicks aren't set up for that right now unless they somehow shock the world, they need star type players so high draft picks are valuable to them but i'd rather not be in position to have to suck for years.

...can't say I love the present or future as of right now, it is to unknown... and we have a management team in place right now that I do not trust.

What will a trade exception do? Rondo is a free agent I thought.

Say what you want, the guy is an NBA champion. With the right team around him he could be very good.

Now onto moving Melo and Lee.

This move also cancels out the headcase that is Derrick Rose.

It is encouraging that Timmy had some of his best games last season against the better teams in the league compared to stat stuffing against the bottom dwellers.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

OK, then Fire FirePjax.

But if you can also help us get rid of Melo, please stay.

The New York Knicks (Steve Mills, the only constant, other than Dolan, from the Isiah Thomas to Phil Jackson era) gave Tim Hardaway Jr $71 dollars over 4 years.

That happened...

-

Hopefully he did improve his shot selection and defense.

I think he ends being a 17-21 PPG scorer for the Knicks, if Carmelo and Lee are traded. (The same way that Jamal Crawford and Al Harrington were 20 PPG scorers with the Knicks.) If that is the case, then he opts out after the 3rd year. This is such a NY Knicks move. How about adding young talent still on their rookie contract? How about adding quality 1st picks? How about not overpaying players by $30-40 million? All Tim Hardaway is going end up doing is f**king up the Knicks draft positions over the next 3 years, like he did his last season in NY. There is a benefit to dealing/waiving Melo, because keeping him will hurt NY's chance at getting a top 5 pick. Why add a free agent that will do the same thing? Imo, the Knicks need to find out a way to get at least two top 5 picks over the next 2-3 seasons AND PICK WELL to have a successful rebuild (not a re-tool or a re-structure).

I liked Hardaway his last time in NY (except for his defensive and shot selection), especially his rookie season. NY did add a young offensive minded piece to the roster, but his contract (especially the $8.1 M trade kicker on top of a drastic overpay) makes him untradable for the next 4 years, so we are going to be suck with him no matter what.

Firing Phil Jackson was the right thing to do. Keeping Steve Mills and giving him power to make trades, waive, and sign players is a terrible thing to do. That's SO James Dolan.

Oh well, time to watch some Tim Hardaway Jr highlights on youtube to trick myself into liking the signing...
It's hard being a Knicks fan...
