The Rockets are going to have to trade Ariza and Gordon for some assets in order to get Melo. Then they'd have Harden, Paul and Melo as its Big 3. It's their own damn fault for giving Anderson all that dough. Now they're stuck with him and are goink to have to trade Ariza and probably Gordon to get the necessary assets to entice us to make this deal. Maybe we can enlarge to include Lee.

Don't the Rockets still have the rights to PG Sergio Llull? I wonder if he might be included in any deal?

I'm going to guess that Anderson goes to Portland and we get Harkless, Leonard, Hartenstein and/or Llull plus maybe another sweetener like a young point guard with a little experience. We might even get a #1 out of it if we're lucky.

Honestly, we can look at it this way - We have four starters that we actually drafted!!

G- Frank
SG - Tim
PF - KP
C - Willy

The only thing missing is a SF. We have a star player at SF in Anthony who wants or wanted to be here. Do we remember how long it took to get a top 15 player to play here. In fact not counting Stoudemire who was past his prime when he was here when was the last time we had a big time free agent come here willingly?

I think unless we qet another SF who is young and a fit with our current roster in a trade for Melo then let's ride with him. If they all fit, great we make the playoffs. If we don't do well we'll look to draft a SF. But boughing at the playoffs just because we can't beat golden state or the cavs is sideways thinking. Every other team in the league is in that same boat. I think this might be the year to go for it when everyone else is tanking. Never know what could happen.
