The size of the contract and all the provisions the Knicks put in it really piss me off. It isn't bad enough you're going to bid $6+ million a year more for the player than his current team thinks he's worth, but you also have to tack on a 15% trade kicker and a clause that gets him half his salary paid by the end of October? Why? What is to be gained?

They're incapable of learning lessons, even when their previous mistakes are still on the roster. Can't wait in a couple of years when the Knicks precluded from making another move because of the Hardaway contract, or they have to attach assets to get rid of him. All to free up space for the next shiny thing that they'll regret a year later. It never ends with this franchise.

Ok enlighten me on how extacly is Otto better for 100 million, Otto isn't a franchise player, if we had Otto 100 lord have mercy it would post saying how knicks are paying him more than Jordan blah blah blah, both players are young with upside but what makes Otto a 100 million dollar guy and there's absolutely no up roar but this Timmy signing is so bad.

Both are Quality young talented wings who improved greatly last year, how they are paid is based off market vaul and how much you want the player on your team if hardaway is valued at 45 50 million wth is otto, Kelly, jru and James Johnson worth, it's a joke how the knicks get called out, this signing isn't as bad as the media is portraying

i think both contracts suck. i happen to like otto a lot. but you can only go so far with either one as your 3rd best player.

Jru Hasn't been healthy in years, the blow back from this is ridiculous, Tim has gotten better every year if your not adding young improving talent on your team what are you doing? Losing to get a #1 losing and hoping a fa feels bad enough to come aboard?

Tim adds to the core and the identity knicks are trying to bulid, is it a risk yes but the potential is there.

He was healthy all of last year but was only out at the beginning because his wife had brain cancer. Also, I'd easily take Otto at $100m over THJR at his price but that point is moot because Washington is matching...wonder why Atlanta is not.
