Absolutely! They would be foolish not to expect Capela playing a huge role for them this season. I expect a pretty big breakout season, and him being a max player next offseason. Melo and Willy aint close to the value of Capela.

Why on earth would Houston give up Capela?

They competing for a championship so either you come up off talent or no deal

That's the trade I've been saying all along would be the best deal the Knicks could get and I would be fine with keeping Love or trading him for assets.

F*ckin Google.
Never trust Google. That **** gives you the wrong hours for businesses. Made me miss getting food because it told me a restaurant was closing later than it really was.

They would and should not. I would even accept a deal of Capela, Anderson (plus the unguaranteed contracts) for Melo, Willy, and a future first rounder. No hesitation. At least in the east, Capela has all star potential written all over him.

Melo clearly wanted to come to the Knicks. It was an open secret. So the Knicks had all the leverage.
The Rockets clearly want Melo and Melo is willing to do away with his NTC to make it happen.
The Knicks have all the leverage.
Also, not true. Melo wanted to come to New York. He was also bein courted by Brooklyn. If he were a free agent, the Knicks would have had leverage. Instead, Melo was open to Brooklyn and the Knocks felt pressure to get a deal done by the deadline in order to get him. Otherwise, they would have waited. This gave up all of their leverage.
Please. He would be a one-year rental in Brooklyn. One-year rentals happen.
