The Cavs also have a highly rated Euro draft stash named Cedi Osman coming over this season. Apparently they are saving their MLE to sign this kid. He just turned 22 and took over for Saric last year on his Turkish Euroleague team. He will be a 3&d wing in the NBA. Osman was apparently considered untouchable in trades when David Griffin ran their front office but Griffin is gone now and we all know Gilbert/LeBron want to win now and are less concerned about player development. Just another name to keep in mind in any possible dealings.

Now we know what the Cleveland Cavaliers are offering for Carmelo Anthony.

As the Cavaliers continue to pursue the 10-time All-Star through trade, Cleveland has been offering international prospect Cedi Osman and several veterans off of the bench for Anthony. according to Sam Amico of Amico Hoops:

"As for the Cavs, they have talked to the Knicks about Anthony by floating the promise of Turkish draft-and-stash swingman Cedi Osman in return (along with several veterans off the bench, who the Knicks seemingly do not want)."

One can conclude that one of those veterans is Iman Shumpert, who the Cavaliers were attempting to trade to the Houston Rockets last week.

Amico continues to states that the Cavaliers' preference is to simply have Anthony bought out by the Knicks, so they can use their mid-level exception to sign the 14-year veteran:

"So as of this moment, it appears the Cavs are content to wait and see — in hopes the Knicks cannot work out a deal with the Rockets, and therefore have no option other than to buy out Anthony’s contract."

The Cavaliers' average age at the beginning of the 2017-18 season will be just over 30 years old. Assuming they bring in Anthony by trading the 22-year-old Osman and 27-year-old Shumpert, their average age would balloon up to nearly 31 years of age. That would obviously make them the oldest team in the league.

You think it'll be fun? I think it'll be a trainwreck to watch. They'll win, of course, but it'd be more because they're just more talented than opposing teams. Harden isolates and pounds the **** out of the ball, CP3 kills time like no other as well, and Melo is going to want his isolations. It can work, but I think it'll end up being a "you go, he goes, I go" situation like it was in Miami with LeBron in the first year...only without the talent/defense.

On top of that, the amount of flops Paul and Harden have each game is going to be nauseating. ON THE FLIP SIDE, it's going to be funny watching Paul's reactions when Harden's guy scores on him...again...and again...and again...and again.

If you're Lebron and consider how bad the east is...why would you rush a Melo move? They're going to be at worst a 2 seed again...no need to trade for him now when the Knicks are guaranteed to be awful again next year.

If he is traded, we are getting garbage back. Prepare yourself, its going to be cap friendly, but awful talent wise.
