I get the frustration and sarcasm here but I'm not sure that "most of this board" is actually accurate (I'm not sure it's not, either?). I'm still concerned over his mysterious head injury but I think a lot of us haven't lost sight of the fact that he was our most effective player for that stretch at the start and then again at the end of the season.

It wasnt a head injury, he took some bad medication and it **** his whole body.

Are you talking about the infection he got from his ear piercing and the medication he took as a result? Has that been confirmed in any way, or even "leaked"?

Nope just a text conversation between me and someone in the know. (verified by bwgood)

Yeah, that's what I was referring to when I put "leaked" in quotation marks.

JJ pick lit a fire. TJ will have a monster season.

There was suggestion of TJ as starting 4 instead of Chriss. I like this idea.

Yeah, or at least run lineups that way and put Chriss or Bender or Williams at the 5.

With the way Chriss and Bender are playing in Summer League showing his lack of improvement I expect Warren to play 35 mpg next season, as a SF and PF.

If JJ earns a starting role, it would certainly be difficult to justify benching TJ in order to let Marquese stay in the starting lineup. TJ had to sit his whole rookie season because Hornacek preferred to watch PJ Tucker run the break and Marcus Morris face up from 18. Marquese just got to play. TJ has paid for his minutes, and based on what I'm seeing, it will probably make sense to play Josh Jackson most of the time.

Bledsoe/Booker/Jackson/Warren/Williams
Ulis/Reed/Jones Jr./Chriss/Bender/Chandler

With the way Chriss is playing, I say start TJ and JJ. TJ has done nothing that should move him back, and Chriss is not better than he is at the moment.

Am I the only one that thinks it might be a good thing to have Len back at 7-8 million a year? It looks like that is going to be his market.

Sure, but we'd have to buy Tyson out, I think. Alan has to play.

Playing Marquese anywhere near the 5 would be disastrous for this team and his personal development. TJ is a flat out 3 in my books, even with the way the NBA is heading. Could maybe play spot minutes at the 4.

I'm fine with spot minutes at the 4 for TJ but he doesn't have the size or the consistent range to be a full time 4.

I think we can play JJ at the 2 to backup booker, as well as spot minutes at the 3. That allows TJ to start at the 3, and play some minutes at the 4 as well.

I dont see TJ's minutes decreasing next season. He came out last season on fire, and looked like the best player on the team, as well as playing impressive defence. He's not going to lose his starting job.

If JJ weighed a bit more (20-25lbs), he would be a solid Draymond-lite at the 4. Both good defenders, both possesses above average passing abilities for their position and both could guard at least 3 positions.

What JJ lacks in over length and size compared to TJ (not significantly) he makes up for with better defensive instincts and motor.

I think he can play the 4 next to a Gobert, maybe even a Len. I can't see it working next to Chriss though. I have no idea about pairing him with Bender, it's going to take some time before we know what he can give us playing in the middle.
