Think I saw on ESPN bottom line that he's the #1 recruit in 2019.

I really like how the Nets are trying to improve their situation. They don't have the talent but they're doing the best they can to improve.

Indeed. Dates back to the contracts they tried offering last summer to snag away some players.

Marks seems to have been an excellent choice. The next test will be when he has assets to play with and is trying to move the team up into the playoffs

Oh to have cap space. Would love to have Damarre Carrol, a 1st round pick, and a 2nd round pick in exchange for nothing. A Kurt Thomas type deal.

Obviously they are loading up for this season right now and IT gives them the best chance but time will tell i guess. For a franchise that has collected assets as well as any it would surprise if they let IT go for nothing in FA.

Been saying this since January. Not winning anything with IT's defense in your starting 5.

They won 50+ and made the ECF with him in the starting five.

If you're talking Championships, Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry.

Being a Bucks fan is maddening.

Every year, there are deals to be made that can improve your team.

That is assuming you have cap space.

The next chance we have at having actual cap space is if Giannis leaves.

The 2018 draft is loaded. I realize Toronto probably makes the playoffs, but anything can happen.

Derozan goes down.....just miss the playoffs....win the lotto and you just gave that away. Hasn't the Nets situation taught anyone you don't trade away unprotected picks?

Agree. Next summer Jabari, following summer Khris opts out and demands money... Yet again most posters here believe non lottery 1st round picks are more important than cap space. :dontknow:

Which sucker GM is going to overpay for Carmelo? I'd love to see him sabotage Houston, the chemistry issues between CP3/Harden/Carmelo would be pretty entertaining.

Morey seems like one of the last people who would be interested in Carmelo.

They play team USA together. If there was going to be an issue, they wouldn't bring him in.

Think the Carmelo hate is way overblown. In a talented, free-flowing offense he could be lethal. Especially with players he respects like CP3 & Harden. Like Team USA Melo but in the NBA.

I wonder what the Raptors would trade Valanucias for? Don't imagine his value is so high considering there just aren't that many teams pursuing centers.

Heard Ibaka is being slated to play more 5 for them either way. And Toronto could use all the cap flexibility they can handle with all the huge contracts already on the docket.

We should offer them Monroe for Val and a future 1st. Make it like 2020 unprotected.

Good thing Henson, Mirza, Delly and Moose will all be expiring within the next few years to free up some space. We will be fine if we sign Middleton and Jabari but we need to stop paying crappy bench players 10 per year
