This can go in the summer league thread. Also, RingsDontLie, this isn't the Lakers board - not every thing is threadworthy...especially when it can just as easily go in another thread on the GB. Thanks.

Biyombo can do this?

reminds me of a bigger and stronger terrence jones. probably a little less refined with the ball skills but made up for with his motor and athleticism.

It's quite sad how it seems like people just can't appreciate talent these days and are too quick to claim themselves right or feel vindicated about a certain opinion. Ball may or may not bust but I'm going to have a hell of a time watching his style of play mesh with LA.

what is sad is that people are called haters for just talking about what they've seen so far. I've only seen Ball in the tournament and his first 2 games. I see some good things and some not so good things. But this is summer league and it means nothing. I can't wait to see him in real nba action. When I see him penetrate and then swing those passes back to team mates I just can't help but think in the nba those passes are going to get picked off. But of course he'll learn to adjust.

As for the previous comment that no other player is being judged like that.. well other rookies are doing better AND other rookies are not takng up half the main page of ESPN. They will be scrutiny when he is treaated like the second coming to magic Johnson which isn't fair. I saw the famous Magic/Bird NCAA game and there is no comparison. Also bottom line, other rookies will have to do a lot better than Ball to win rookie of the year but I think a couple will depending on how much playing time they get. Ball will have a lot of opportunity to improve because he will get the playing time. Fultz will as wel. Not sure about Tatum and he's been impressive.

Worst thread I've seen on here in a while.

Posters who are usually logical and good at analyzing are in here sounding like 13 year old Call of Duty players.

Everybody on both sides needs to take a seat, whether you're a delusional Lakers fan or you just irrationally hate Lonzo because of his dad.

Good morning Everyone,

There will NOT be a Lonzo Ball thread on the GB for each and every game he plays. Go ahead and get it out of your systems now.

Thank you!

Well that's kind of a stupid thing to do. If you want to form a real opinion to stand on, watch more than 10 minutes. You don't find it odd that you're the only one with that kind of opinion about him?

I noticed that to the day after the finals.

Don't worry, Lord Vader. I'm sure that we'll have a catch-all Ball thread for games and non-Lavar events.

Just not a game thread for every summer league game. ;)

Uggghhh...can you imagine this version of Ball with Ingram...wow. Can't wait to destroy the Celtics in the regular season. I got Giannis in my Ingram poster, I'm looking to add Tatum and Haywood to be in my ingram poster collection next.

Also....Kuzma had 31 points and outplayed Tatum with ease. I feel Kuzma is the better prospect than Tatum from this game. And obviously Ball is on another level from Tatum, probably the shoe in for ROY now.

Unfortunately the 2017 NBA won't value his abilities the way they should

Interesting point. Even as good as he's looked I did sort of wonder if he won't just become a volume scorer with the degree of difficulty of some of these shots he's taking (and currently making).

Kuzma, a late 1st round pick outplayed Tatum. Tatum cant shoot the 3 as well as Kuzma (so far) and Kumza also did great on defense.

Stop being so dramatic.

You do know Kuzma was a horrible three point shooter in college right? So no, Kuzma hasn't shown he can shoot the three better, taking more of them in one game doesn't prove anything. I don't even understand how anyone can say Kuzma outplayed Tatum in the first place either, because he scored four more points? He still was a -2 on the court and what exactly did Kuzma do that makes you think he played great defense? So did Semi outplay Ball because he made more threes and played much better defense? He def was the more efficiefficient shooter and did a great job on the much bigger Zubac on defense.

They were both a -1, do you always throw out random numbers when youre upset?

Free-throws, which is usually a good indicator of a player's shooting prowess, shows that Kuzma isn't exactly a good shooter. In addition to the pedestrian 3P% at Utah, he also shot a career 63.1% from the FT line. The 5-13 3PT FG he shot at Vegas SL isn't a large enough sample size to show his improvement in that area.

They are both pedestrian from 3.
