Bembry has a natural feel for the game.

If he can develop a consistent jumper he'll be lethal. That feel for the game and his vision are things that can't be taught.

I hope this means Bembry gets a lock for some minutes on the Hawks lineup this season. Frustrating last season how there weren't enough open minutes for him to play on a game to game basis. His anticipation is on point, 6 steals to show too. Collins-Bembry duo gives me hope

Wait, is it true that Demarcus Cousins' brother and cousin are on the Pels' SL squad? Lol. That's a problem, bro.

Great game by Bembry, Collins and Stone!

If Bembry does well, it will make nonHawks fan forget about THJ.

If Stone becomes a good rotational piece, it will be a surprising good return for Millsap.

What do you think abt Alpha Kaba so far ? couldnt show that much since SL isnt the best way to see how is doing a SL rookie from overseas, who isnt used to this type of bball

The Plus/Minus of confirms with impression : he leads ATL in both games :
BKN : ATL +20 with Bembry, -23 without him
NOP : ATL +18 with him, -16 without him

Collins has +12 and +14, Prince +12 and +16

Hard with 10 and 12 minutes only, but team was in the game with him in both cases.
Would need a 20 min game, it would be easier start judging.

Still adjusting to NBA speed. Too soon to tell.

Has there been any indication that Alpha Kaba might be on the roster this year? I know that wasn't expected but given our situation I'm wondering why not.

Probably because he's struggling with D League/Summer League talent and game speed.

Despite his age, he is light years behind the learning curve. Best to let him play/learn over seas on someone else's dime.

Stashing him also prevents his contract/salary clock from coming into play. We continue to control his rights while he learns the game elsewhere.

After bringing Bebe and Tavares over too soon and dealing them before they were ready to contribute, this seems a wise move for a kid who's played little American basketball in his career.

Doubt it, he's not ready. Needs more game experience and makes no sense to pay him an NBA salary to develop. Let him development overseas this year, maybe next year bring hom to the GL.

Another solid effort so far from Bembry. Drained 2 3's so far in 1st half.

Little interview with Delaney. I hate him a little less now.

Dorsey turns his ankle pretty badly it seemed. Training staff walked him to lockerrom gingerly.

No, indeed.

I've belayed any notions I had of him coming in and contributing from day 1. He's a multi-year prospect. A couple offseasons in The Skill Faktory and he'll be a pleasant surprise IMHO.

On another note, Collins is taking Markinnen (sp?) to school. It's 3rd grade for Lauri out there and Mr. Collins is that substitute that makes you sit in assigned seats and doesn't let you take bathroom breaks.
