Why couldn't we sign Alan Williams for that kind of money?

He was a restricted free agent.

Oh yes, good point. never mind, scratch that from the record.

Do we have to Renounce it? Since it came after the Hayward Trade (Technically/Kinda).

It has to happen for Boston to sign Hayward. The AB for Morris trade allows Boston to get under the cap to go under the cap you renounce all cap holds and exceptions, except for guys you intend to sign.

Once Boston goes under the cap they now are subject to the rules of a team that is under the cap. The only exception available is what it is called the Room Cap which I assume they used on Baynes once you are capped out.

Wow that was awesome.

Honestly though. We shouldn't let this stuff annoy us. He's obviously wrong. He's just making waves. When national people start putting your team down, it means that you've arrived. It means people give a crap. It means the rest of the league is paying attention.

Keep up the great work Danny.

That's the second time this summer somebody has posted a clip from that show, and it turns out that the blond chick is the one with the brains.

Is that show on Fox or something? :)

I don't think it is. It is common to hire attractive women for TV roles under circumstances that include:
-- Their looks/youth may be in lieu of being optimal in other qualifications. (Analogy: Particularly tall basketball players, on average, aren't as skilled as shorter ones.)
-- Sometimes, and this is sexist when it happens, they are put in roles where they're not supposed to appear particularly smart.

However, that dynamic was famously subverted last year by Megyn Kelly of Fox, and along the way the reporting suggested that she was far from the only one. (I very, very rarely watch Fox News myself, so I can't really comment from personal experience.)

I think it´s common to present beautiful women as not very clever individuals. People do it naturally and though your post probably didn´t go in that direction, it certainly doesn´t contribute to stop this trend. It doesn´t take that much to take this into consideration, the same as we do with certain words that shouldn´t be used in some contexts. It actually helps.

Kristine is a very nice journalist (who actually worked for the Celtics, which is a plus) and she is also a beautiful woman. That´s all. We don´t comment on Bill Simmons´looks because he is a man... I think we should just state the facts: She is a strong individual who defended the Celtics ;) and also who faced Lavar Ball on the same show some weeks ago.

The guy Danny should target is Jakob Poetl of the raps. He has scored and rebounded at a very efficient pace. Offer the raps. JC and some later 1st rounders. He is just what the Cs need.

Btw the thing we forgot is that Danny owned his son and his son's campaign. As we all thought he didn't give a ****.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

You want to give Toronto one of the best contracts in the league, and a player who actually does what they paid Demarre Carroll tons of money to do, in addition to multiple first rounders -- for Jakob Poetl?

The whole point in retaining Crowder (in addition to him being good on court) and all those picks is to be able to use all of them together when a true star became available. The team already has six rookies, two others in their second years. You want to spend some of the team's best assets on another very young guy who barely got any minutes with a team that badly needed frontcourt help?
