I only saw parts of the game, but Isiah Thomas mentioned during the telecast of Game 2 versus the Jazz that he liked Sindarius Thornwell during is color commentary. Sideline reporter Rosalyn Gold-Onwude also mentioned that the executives in the Clippers' front office really like Sindarius for doing the little things and putting in the work in practice. It was noted that he was the type of player who exudes leadership that the organization wants to permeate the locker-room culture of the team.

I love Sindarius Thornwell but as a post-up player at only 6'5," until he can shoot from 3, he's not NBA material, no matter how many of the "little things" he does.

In the NBA, you have to do big things.

Depends on how well he does those little things, but being able to shoot the three will obviously be a large requirement at his size and position.

Corner 3 and defense. Thats what he needs to do to get minutes, but you can say that about any young guy entering the league.

theoretically isn't something like ball-handling and dribbling way easier to work on then adding a real nba shot or range?

The other way around actually. Can always add new moves, but handles are all about coordination that develops as you grow. Shooting is something you can improve based on mechanics, much like a pitcher. It takes a lot of work, but it happens quite a bit.
