Another Danny Ainge blunder. He could have had Lou Williams, but chose this guy instead. Good luck with that.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
does anyone know who we actually offered for Bradley?
someone suggested Lou Williams, but Boston couldn't have taken him and still have the cap room they wanted for Hayward.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Contrary to popular belief, Simmons really is a Clippers fan. Season ticket holder. He just has to d-bag them as a professional writer d-baggerist. If you saw his last article--Dear Mr Ballmer, Fire everyone and move to Seattle--well, that carried no risk. And Bill's fans loved it.
Jamal's advanced stats ARE that bad, though. Thing is, so are Austin's. The other thing is, Jamal and Austin were tasked with playing alongside NBA minimum wagers. Austin's stats as a starter--with real NBAers--are pretty damn good. And Jamal? He did what he could.

Joffrey, possible veteran minimum target for Denver-Gallo connection? I'm intrigued with his play in Denver as a stretch big.
2024-25 Clippers W/L Count against OKC, HOU, PHX, MIN (0-14)
2024-25 Clippers W/L Count against rest of NBA (43-18)

urg. I dunno. the guy's career 3 % is below 30%. he reeks of Byron Mullins. but at this point these guys are more of bench depth then anything. does this guy actually have any inside game? his defensive per 100 is looking pretty bad, but not sure what pace the Bulls were playing(knowing that roster tho, it could not have been very fast) so I will leave it to guys who has watched his games to give me some insight.
ehhhhh f it.

I know Lauvergne since he's an nba prospect playing in Euro competitions. I'm pretty sure he's much more versatile then Mullens. Very good PnR player knows where to pick, when to roll. For a white euro big, he is a good rebounder with solid movement and quick feet. Make hustle plays. Shooting is streaky that haven't translate to the NBA yet, but he can develop that with more consistency i hope. He's also still 25 years old.
Better to ignore his small sample Chicago and OKC performances. Those teams weren't playing a good basketball where Joffrey can excel. His 2015-2016 Denver season is the best of himself we can compare.
I would give a chance for him instead of Grandfather Bass, Speights or Alan Anderson's of the league minimums

I live in Seattle now, and I'd love to have Sonics back. But No, I would not want Ballmer to move Clippers out of LA. Clippers belong in LA.

Simmons is not a Clipper fan. He's a Celtics homer who just gets tickets for Clipper games because he lives in LA.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Lauvergne? Not best fit for Clippers. Before he signed with Denver, he played for Partizan in Serbia, and he was playing power forward 90% of times. He was even rebounding leader in Euroleague in his last season w Partizan if im not wrong.
Point is, he was playing in big ball lineups, maybe some player from that team are known to you (Bertans who is in Spurs, Bogdanovic who just signed biggest rookie contract ever with Kings or Sasha Pavlovic, NBA veteran who played in Cleveland for many years or Milutinov, Spurs stash player).
So he was playing often in lineup like this:
Pg Bogdanovic (6ft 6in)
Sg Pavlovic (6ft 7in)
Sf Bertans (6ft 10in)
Pf Lauvergne (6ft 11in)
C Milutinov (7ft)
He was great in lineup like that. Great. But he need same style in NBA - team who is playing big ball. Team who is playing hard defense and slow style of basketball. Clippers are pretty much.opposite of that. He is very quality player, but very few teams can use him properly. He is definitely NOT good fit for Clippers.
