Bender was nice even last year, he just didn't play heaps and didn't put up stats, but you could always see the potential.

Markkanen took shots within the offense. He was cold but he had to take a lot of those shots with his reputation and ability. No idea what Valentine thought on some of his shot attempts, though.

I saw people calling him a bust after the last game. This past season the Suns played better offensively and defensively when he was on the floor. Even in their last game yesterday, where a lot of people were complaining about him, and the Suns got dominated, they played best with him on the floor. He was the only starter who played 30+ minutes who didn't have a double digit negative +/-. His was -2. Most of them were like -15 or -17. He plays smart and does a lot of little things...makes good passes.

They park him out at the 3 pt line a bit too much because he can be much more useful than that. The worst part about this Suns summer league team is they have no spacing because Derrick Jones Jr is a horrid shooter, and Josh Jackson isn't great, so your wings can't spread the floor and opposing D's can just crowd the lane most of the time which kills Chriss and Derrick Jones Jr's strength at finishing in the paint.

I'm no expert but isn't 7 fouls in 17 minutes a lot against basically non NBA competition...

If you didn't know, that's actually more then you can even get in a regular NBA game. He would have already fouled out. However, in summer league games they probably tell him to be more aggressive on defense and not to worry about fouls. He's the type of guy to try things when it doesn't matter and learn from the mistakes. He does need to cut down on his fouls in the regular season, as does Chriss, but he's still learning the NBA game.

If the trainer thinks he can go Magic has to trust him, he hired him cause he thought he was good at his job. Trust him and go sign someone

Magic is a coward too - too afraid to look like a fool for picking Ball over the clearly better player that is Fox.

You really think Ball is dodging Fox? The amount of mental gymnastics you guys do to hate on the kid is pathetic. Lonzo is a great guy, a terrific teammate, and a very good player. Lavar can be annoying but you can't possibly put that on Lonzo.

Ball isn't dodging Fox. There's probably going to be at least 30 point guards better than Fox next year, so is Ball going to dodge all of them too?

A sore groin? You're telling me if this was a player like LeBron trying to get out of a back to back against a crappy team you'd believe that crap? This was one of the most anticipated matchups of the summer league, and this dude isn't playing cause of a sore groin when there are all kinds of reports that he's fine.

Can't back up his dad's hype against a quality opponent who plays his same position - I feel bad for the Laker and Sacramento fans who were looking forward to this matchup.

This Mike James guy is such trash. Such a ballhog. I would not want to play with him as my PG.

Keyword summer league. Who cares. Call me when he starts sitting against the Queens in the regular season.

Also it's funny how when a player plays good in summer league, people are quick to say it's summer league no one cares but when a player decides to sit, people start caring. Whatever fits the narrative I suppose.

Isiah Thomas said John Hammond did great thing with the Bucks, there's comedy on every level in there.

I've never seen a player dodge competition in SL before
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
