This is the only move I've been happy with all season, but man did we ever focus on SG this summer. Wow.
Count that baby and a foul!

Who am I missing? Who gets the last spots?
I don't see the Pistons having a full roster. I think Stan will leave a spot open for flexibility.
R. Jackson/I. Smith/3rd PG
A. Bradley/L. Kennard/L. Galloway
T. Harris/S. Johnson/R. Bullock
J. Leuer/H. Ellenson
A. Drummond/B. Marjanovic/E. Moreland

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
During the presser today to unveil Galloway and Moreland signings Bowers said two more signings - a wing and a PF.
Bullock fills that wing. I think Galloway is the third PG for the time being. If we lost Jackson or Ish, Langston plays the point and Bullock backs up both SG and SF in a third string capacity.
We'll use our BAE on a PF and call it an off-season. Well outside of two two-way contract signings.

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
Nothing against Bull cause the poor bugger can't seem to stay healthy but:
There's more to basketball than shooting 3s!
Somewhere Toddo is loving this.
RJ & Dre PnR surrounded by better shooters (AB, Galloway, Kennard, Bullock, Henry) might be great in theory but we're still lacking at SF & PF...
I guess we'll use the BAE there...and uf it's Tolliver it'll be sold as a fan favourite returning "home"
To me it all spells Clone Warriors - the **** version!
Who does the dirty work? Baynes & Mook are gone so you need a guy that's willing to crunch somebody out there!
Dre - Jon - Bobo - Moreland
Jon - Harris - Henry
SJ - Harris - Bull
AB - Kennard - Bull - Gallo
RJ - Ish - Gallo
I bet there's gonna be a lot of nights where SJ & AB look at each other and then scream at the other 3 dudes on the floor and say "**** guard someone!"
Dropping 3 point bombs is nice - but there's 2 ends of a court

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
I like what Bullock could be, but his inability to stay healthy the last couple of seasons have really put a damper on my enthusiasm towards him. At this point it's not a huge deal since the Pistons aren't threatening the luxury tax but I think this is a bit of an overpay. Not awful, just more than he's worth. But good shooting and solid defense from the wing is valuable so I don't hate it.
He's definitely being brought in as depth at the three. And that's fine, Bullock is big enough to match up there against most teams these days and I would rather have a perimeter-oriented rotation than not. A lineup of Galloway / Bradley / Bullock / Johnson / ? could be a really nice defensive option for Van Gundy, especially against smaller/running teams. That question mark could actually end up being Moreland too, which would really be interesting.
Looks like there's only one spot left to fill. I think it will be too. Gbinije is kept around and the other forward to be added makes for the two guys inactive for most games. Then a couple of two-way contracts are added and the team is set barring another trade. Don't think one is coming though.
Okay, that's pretty good then.

Your post is intellectually dishonest. In no way is Reggie a PG. Galloway is a combo 1/2. Bullock is a 2/3. SJ is a 2/3. Harris is a 3/4. Leuer/Moreland are 4/5.
Gbinje will likely be bought out.
PG Reggie/Ish/Galloway
SG Bradley/Kennard/Galloway/Bullock
SF Johnson/Harris/Bullock
PF Leuer/Harris/Elleson/Moreland
C Dre/Boban/Leuer/Moreland
All that is needed now is a move of Leuer or Reggie to strengthen the 4 spot.

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
The deal is fine. It makes the Galloway deal look even more absurd, but in and of itself the deal is fine.

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
Could we have signed a 2/3 outside shooter better than Bullock? Maybe.
Could we have signed a 2/3 outside shooter better than Bullock for $5M over two years with the second year non-guraranteed? Doubtful.
Could we have signed a 2/3 outside shooter better than Bullock for $5M over two years with the second year non-guraranteed by using full Bird Rights, therefore maintaining the BAE to possibly add another useful bench player? 100% no.
Slam dunk deal with no long term ramifications. Even if Bullock spends all year on the IR, any production we get out of our subsequent BAE signing makes this deal a win 'cuz the latter couldn't happen without this first. I wasn't a huge Bullock fan and expected to see him go, but I see literally zero downside to this deal at this cost.

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
I like Bullock as the 3rd wing behind Harris, Stanley if he can stay healthy hopefully. Almost always when Bullock got time he played very solid, and of course he was our best 3pt shooter. But he is not really big enough to play against some of those large wings, assuming he plays SF exclusively next season. I would have gone after a bigger SF like Mbah a Moute, but Bullock knows the system and some continuity won't hurt.
Now bring back Tolliver!

I was never fully convinced we weren't better with bollock playing 30 most min. Or KCP, he just was always hurt and standing in line to play behind too many. All teams do need a dealer. Lol. This is a great deal.

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
2/5 with a TO on the second year is a good signing. Dude had no leverage, so we grabbed a good shooter cheap.

Re: Bullock 2yr/5mil
Good deal, fills a need, with it essentially being an expiring he's also a contract that could be included as salary filler in a trade if one comes up during the season, something we didn't have a lot of on the roster.
