Rightfully so. He played through every injury in the book. When he tore his wrist up, he shot both free throws with his left hand just because he didn't want to be ruled out for the rest of the game. He was a warrior. Shortly after, most fans came to their senses and realized what they had done and how unfair they were. That was on a wayyyyyy different level than Melo. It was at least 10-15 times worse at the end.

New York Knick fans can be terrible at times. Meanwhile, Zach Randolph is about to get his jersey retired in Memphis. Funny how that works...

Which is my point

And you thought Melo had it bad:

lol

They were booing a 12-6 team... Booing Patrick Ewing and talking about JVG being on the hotseat lol I think we've become soft.

Jeff is a horrible big man coach.
Alex Len got better once he left.

Len was 21 when Jeff left, so it's natural he got better

Miles Plumlee had the best year of his career under Jeff, and Frye was good

Chill. We all know that if we weren't stupid and waited to get Melo in free agency, our team would've been a really good squad with all those guys still on the roster + Melo.

Thanks, man. Miss those fun times we had here.

It needs to be updated. Back then everyone helped each other out. I created the bus but I think it was The Biz who did the animation.

no he was heavily appreciated here, he was viewed as the savior. in fact the fans should've been on his case long ago when he got rid of d'antoni and lin in a sequence of 5 months, but they didn't because the fans loved melo. i loved melo, i'm banned from the general forum because i called out tsherkin on his bias bashing of melo. when trade was announced the knicks made amazing video packages hyping him.

so don't for one second make up a bs claim that the knicks didn't respect melo his entire team here because we did, we embraced him. the past few seasons however fans have been souring on him because they've had enough with the "excuses" and the fingers pointed elsewhere.

that and also his decline played a part, so the fans expressed their opinion on a diminishing player that still views himself as bigger than the team.

YOU deserved this mediocrity from the melo era, because turns out he's not batman or robin ... dude is straight up alfred.

Once again, you miss the entire point of not having to have given up all those assets, including all the draft picks, to Denver. But, in the end, it was Dolan's decision. That should say it all. The guy is King Midas in Reverse.

I wasn't mad at Houston for the $100mil, I didn't like that the Knicks passed on Miller when he wanted to come in that same off season but chose Houston over for him and it's the reason why the Knicks didn't win a title in the 90s, with Miller the Knicks beat Jordan and the Bulls.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

He's always going to prefer to pop. He's a shooter in his heart. Asking him to play a more physical game really isn't him. He plays best in space. What you need to do is bring in Rondo to maximize KP as KP needs someone that can set him up. He's a finisher in his heart.

I'm definitely excited to see how both KP and Willy do in Jeff's offense, shame we passed on DSJ, seems like a Bledsoe type player, but at least Frank is supposed to be a good PnR guy

I wouldn't be too mad about getting Rondo, I think we have that lined up, we're just waiting on the Melo trade

There's the political me and the basketball me. The mods here always treated me very fairly and we had great times back in the day. The CA board was entirely different story. I reacted emotionally because back then I was here to talk Knicks, not politics and it was ripped away from me. And I think I did a damn good job along with a lot of other great posters entertaining the Knicks board.

you always entertained me

Thanks, much appreciated. It was always supposed to be about fun since the team was so damn awful that you just had to laugh otherwise we would have all gone insane. (like Marbury eventually did)
