And i just named 4 hall of famers on that Boston team. Many people think Ainge should be in too. Bird, Parrish, McHale and DJ. You named Kobe and Pau, plus Odom and Bynum. I'm sorry but the Celtics were way better. Played much better competition too and nobody sat out because they were tired or they weren't paid enough money.

Nobody's discrediting those teams tho lol but your damn sure descrediting the teams melo played against

Some short memories here.

In the past decade not a single prominent player wanted to be a part of this toxic franchise. Melo did. He actually wanted to play here in front of the NY fans. When all other stars preferred to taunt us and punk us.

He wasted his prime by playing here with at best a bunch of has beens as his top supporting talent. Amare, Chauncey, Rose and Noah, Bargnagni (lol)!.

Its not his fault he couldnt get any of his superstar buddy's to join him. It wasnt his responsibility anyway. Walsh, Grunfeld, Mills, Jackson, these guys are paid millions to build the team. Theyre to blame, not Melo.

Just not sure where all the Melo hate comes from honestly...

The trade, D'Antoni and Lin(which is the biggest reach I have ever seen).

It was also his fault that

- we used the amnesty on Billups instead of opting out for free
- because of the amnesty used on Billups, we never again had cap space after we made the playoffs
- we never had a PG except for Lin, who chose a payday over the playoffs
- we traded a lotto pick for Bargs
- we got nothing for Tyson
- we got next to nothing for Shump
- we signed the worst contract in the NBA in 2016

Selfish bastard :rofl2:

Something major is holding up this trade whether it's Ryan Anderson, picks, who knows?!?!... but whatever it is, this deal has the perfect make-up to fall apart! It should have been done by now for crying out loud. Maybe now that Houston has won Melo over, they might be banking on us buying him out if it all falls thru in which he'll obviously choose Houston.

We aren't buying him out. If something is holding up the trade my guess is that it's D'Antoni

I don't think we'll buy him out either but that might not be Houston's mindset...They know we only have one other trading partner in Cleveland who has a lot less trade bait to work with in my opinion...not like Houston has a lot to work with either but still.

It might be Mike D...like I said, who knows?!? This should've been done by now though! We're the only team who has these long drawn out trade negotiations that usually just end up falling apart. Just get a deal done like every other team gracefully accomplishes!

All the losing was entirely the Knicks' fault. Not Melo's at all. We accept all blame. Just go.

Yet you haven't proven why they were so superior to that LAL team. Just because you say so?

Is Kobe not an all time great now? Is prime Pau chump change?

Why didn't I get the memo?

Except he was willing to go to Brooklyn, not because he wanted to play here. Because he wanted his max and a chance to form a big 3. He wanted out of Denver. Not because he wanted to be a Knick. That's a lie. He also was willing to leave in FA after all it took to get him here. Then he took the max and a NTC plus kicker to stay.

Never once has he left this team in a better position to build around him. He didn't attract FA. He didn't want to adapt his game. He didn't want certain coaches or players and a GM.

The FO has been a mess. He contributed to that mess with Dolan forcing the trade because he said he would go to Brooklyn.

He is a very good player. He has played the good soldier in the press. He has left it all out on the court. He has not done anything to warrant such blind devotion. He's made selfish, me first decisions that have hurt the team. These are facts. It's not all on him...but....some of it is.

It's time to move on either way and fans should be allowed to want that without hearing about it. Melo is not the victim by any stretch in this story.

Garnett
PP
Allen
LeBron
Wade
Bosh(maybe)

Are all HOF players.

Now the Pacers are interesting.
PG could be but I think his leg jacked him up. Lance would be much better if he just stayed and Hibbert is a casualty of the game changing.

That team is weird.

Who chose a payday? Lin? I hate Lin but even I can say that he was sleeping on a couch while making the minimum... I would take the payday (after already having surgery) as well.

Can't attract FAs when you're good if you don't have cap space to sign them. We had it once, Tyson, a top FA that year, came.

This is nonsense Sir. Thete was no money to attract anything when STAT was here. Why can't you understand that?

Moving in from him is all business but when he wants his money it's not?

I should be able to defend Melo without hearing about it.
