this list is vomit inducing for me...

simmons would be my nightmare.

mohammed im not a fan of and dont see a fit attitude wise or skillset wise

sefelosha green and allen are in their 30's

i like jereboko and ilyasova but both are in their 30s and dont move the needle. not worth tying up 9 million per year in cap for a guy like that.

for me its KCP or dont spend a dime

It doesn't have to obviously be long term contracts but this team still has a perimeter defense need and a stretch four unless acquired via trade.

i dont see stretch 4 as a need. we have plenty of shooting and acy off the bench for that.

dont think anyone on that list would be good regardless of contract length

No KCP for us, and I don't mind that one bit at the price that was paid

Nets manage to dodge a toxic bullet with KCP, him and rich paul can suck a fat one. Now Nets can focus on the real treat, the 2018 rfa class. Or just take a bunch of bad contracts for draft picks so they can reload in 2019 draft all at once.

KCP is going after the money. We don't want him. 8-)

Don't think we had a legit shot at getting him long term anyways as he was looking for big bucks. Looks to me like he or his agent missed the boat on this free agency and wants to reset next year for a more lucrative long-term deal.

At the same time, Rich Paul and the Lakers are scratching each other's backs for you know who next season lol.

Why would you care about the money being paid on a one year deal?

Good luck with that. With lots of big names FAs coming up there''ll be less money available next season.

Win/Win for both of my teams. BRK passes on KCP cuz they dont need him as they got a plethora of their own wings to develop and didnt want to get tied down long term.

Lakers get SOME talent coming in AND a rugged defender that they desperately need. Hopefully his shooting improves as Lonzo balls him on the perimeter.

BRK
C - Mozgov, Allen, Acy
PF- RHJ, Booker, Nicholson
SF- Carroll, Levert, Harris
SG- DLo, SKil, Whitehead
PG- Lin, DIm

LAL
C - BroLo, Zubac
PF- Randle, Nance, Kuzma
SF- Ingram, Deng, Brewer
SG- KCP, Hart
PG- Ball, Clarkson

BRK still has a max slot to use. LAL are capped out but have alot of money coming off the books next offseason.

I got BRK penciled in for more wins than LAL, by about 7.

Not the end of the world, but I thought he could've been a nice piece here and have a nice role.

Now he's going to be Lavar Ball's scapegoat for every other loss.

Any other wings left? Or do we go bigman route now?

So Lakers need to release 2 million in room to fully take KCP new contract, maybe we should try and absorb Larry Nance? Magic probably would be up for it since Nance been talking about DLo positively while Magic's regime was **** on DLo.

Really? I see the Lakers having the better team at this moment, their team is full of potential. KCP will be hungry to prove himself, Ingram is ready to break out, Ball has potential. We have a bunch of guys close to their ceiling alreay.

That Laker team is more talented. How it comes together, who knows, but it's more talented.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder whether the Nets actually went after KCP. I mean Sean and Kenny and most of the players are in Vegas. Unless KCP went to Vegas to be pitched I don't see how they would have interviewed him.

KCP would undeniably be 1 of the best 3 players on the team, and we need all the talent we can get, so it's a bummer to lose out on a 24 year old top 10 draft pick. That said, he wasn't a great fit once we made the trade for Russell. Hopefully we can add another pick and salary dump for another veteran who can also help improve the team. I don't think of the remaining FA are all that appealing, but I guess we'll see what happens. Hopefully the Wizards wifi goes out and they don't approve Porter's physical in time and we get him after all. That would be some poetic justice.

Yeah, I'm with the rest of you guys. We either got him or we don't use the cap space. I was fine either way.
