Good deal for both sides.

"KD was like, '[Oklahoma City] will blow you away,'" George says. "He told me they can offer what other teams can't in terms of the people and the preparation and the facility, down to the chefs and the meals. He was pretty high on them. He thought it was a first-class organization in every way."

"I love Indiana. That will always be a special place for me and I'm sorry for not holding on. But I wasn’t sure we’d ever get a team together to compete for a championship and that's where all this came from. ... All I was asking for was a little help in Indy. Now I'm getting a lot of help in Oklahoma. For me, it's all about winning. I want to be in a good system, a good team. I want a shot to win it. I'm not a stats guy. I'm playing this game to win and build a legacy of winning. I've yet to do that. I'm searching for it. If we get a killer season in Oklahoma, we make the conference finals or upset the Warriors or do something crazy, I'd be dumb to want to leave that."

Yea, I would've traded whatever to get George.

You had to wonder when Termini/Rich Paul and their brass knuckle tactics were going to backfire.

Looks like KCP just found out. They had him rejecting 80-90m.

It is quite risky. Granted 18 million should have someone set for a few generations, not counting what he's already made, but the fear of getting injured and missing out on the money is real. Blink of an eye, you're done.

There are so many nice role players in Free Agency right now, but there is not cap space on most of the teams.

I think we are gonna be jealous of the next contracts.

Dedmon is exhibit A ...

Till now our total salaries ranks us 6th most expensive team in the NBA.

Pathetic, but we can do worse. Jabari is next.

I expect Jabari's next contract (100M) will force our owners to finally make a serious plan for this Franchise.
Hiring a good GM would be a good start.

Does anyone left have any money? Noel still hasn't been paid, who else?

I liked Dedmon going into last year's FA, but I have some real concerns with him this year. He was nearly unplayable in the playoffs, playing 7 minutes or more in only 5 of the 16 Spurs playoff games. Of those 5 they only won 2. He was DNP/Inactive for 4 of their playoff games.

Bill Simmons is annoying as all hell, but one thing I agree with him is that if you are going to pay someone, they better be a guy you can put on the floor in the playoffs (oh hey Mizra Teletovic…)

So he could probably bolt for a bigger market at the end of the year since we wouldnt be able to pay him unless we made a bunch of moves this FO is incapable of? Yeah, I wish. That ship has sailed.

So the organization was amazing in every way, except he had to play with Westbrook? And couldn't win....so he left?

Sounds like Pelicans might go Moore+Ajinca+QPon for Reggie Jackson
