The amount of hate a guy that averaged close to 30 points in the Finals is unreal. I don't get that.

And I was okay with Booker being more "Klay-like" than "Hayward-like" - give me a guy who can flat out shoot the rock and score 20-22 ppg - good enough for me
Yes, his defense needs to get better. But he should improve as he gets older, smarter, etc. Compare Booker to a guy like Ingram - one year apart. Or other 2/3 guys in their second or third years.
You cannot compare Booker to Ingram... they dont have similar game styles.
Booker does not play like Klay... Booker is playing with the ball in his hands more... a lot more than Klay who is a catch and shoot SG.
And game style and defensive abilities are usually evident very early in a player's career.
As bwgood stated, Booker and D'Angelo Russell are actually a fair comparison, with Russell being a better overall player so far and Booker the better scorer.
And my point is.... Booker has a very high expectations from a lot of Suns fans here, which I feel is likely to disappoint because of his lack of defense, he may score 30 points most night, but if he gives up 30 points to other guards then its like Amare all over again....
I think we missed a golden opportunity to get rid of Knight by shipping him and Booker to Nets for Lopez and 27th pick. Damn, those Lakers always one step ahead of us. I assume we tried something like that, but Nets thought Lakers' offer to be more enticing (since Russell > Booker).

Obviously I think we would all love that, but I'm pretty sure there's no way Houston gives him up. He fits their system far too well and played an important role for them last year

Agreed. Capela is the type of asset I would want in taking on a Ryan Anderson contract - just not sure how to get it done -
well - I got something done -and it involves the Suns getting both Capela and Anderson but having to take Teletovic or Hawes
Milwaukee: Tyson Chandler
Knicks: Greg Monroe - big expiring contract and Brandon Knight, and Derrick Jones Jr
Houston: Melo
Suns: Anderson - three bad years left on his contract, Capela - yeah!!! and Teletovic &.or Hawes - plus a 1st round pick from Bucks for taking both of them. IF the Suns only take Hawes - well no first as not taking on Teletovic so will have cap space to sign Capela in 2018
immediately renounce Len because you have Capela -
If the Suns were to get Capela, and take on Hawes - do not need a 1st from the Bucks; but if taking on Teletovic, would need a 1st from the Bucks - especially if the Suns take Hawes too. And it also leaves the Rockets without a Center like Capela. but to get Melo and dump Anderson - the Suns NEED something

The Knicks want a positive asset back for Knight, not a huge crapping contract.
No deal was imminent Wednesday, but the Knicks and Rockets are confident that they have a willing third-team trade partner incorporated into the framework, the sources said.
The fourth team was needed to move a particular player contract that neither the Knicks nor Rockets could or would accept in the deal, league sources said.

I understand but the Knicks are in a tough spot as they don't have assets to deal with and the Rockets are also limited
If the Suns are going to be a part of this trade - they need to dump a crappy contract to get a crappy contract and get assets
Name a positive asset the Knicks will get in a Carmelo Anthony deal if the Rockets are involved
Suns have the most young players and picks - maybe the Knicks get the Heat pick -
Nevertheless, New York has been pushing hard to unload Anthony in the recent weeks, although it hasn't necessarily changed an asking price that makes the deal a challenge for Houston, league sources said. The Knicks aren't interested in the Rockets' older players and big contracts, so new teams have to be brought into the deal to find a way to satisfy the Knicks.
The Knicks front office has been privately saying that the organization's marching orders are now focusing on players 25 years old and younger, league sources said.

I also am not totally against a move to bring in Anderson. However the question is what do we get in return or get rid of that we do not want.
I expect that the Knicks would be interested in Bledsoe and our picks.
I think if we offered Bledsoe, Dudley and one of our upcoming picks they might be interested. I like everyone else would like to sub Knight for Bledsoe.
I am not in the dump Bledsoe camp but I do have concerns about his future contract.
I say we offer Knight, Dudley and a pick on a take it or leave it basis. We get Onuaku and Anderson in return.
