I'll have a team with just the available FAs if possible. I still won't end up on the bottom. I'll raise a banner in two years tops guaranteed.

Ohhhh I like that! ^ This is Lakers board fan league so I'll let the fellas vote but it would make 1 team with a bye every week.

Nope, no deal.

Either we resurrect those expansion talks from last year(14 team league), or we leave it as it is.

Bye's are just wrong, someone is going to get buttf*ucked by scheduling alone.

If not it's ok, I'll wait until there's an opening, or if another person wants to join with me as well.

Yes, thank you. And that'll cease the vote.

Who knows...maybe ak7 holds up the draft too long and he gets doormatted.

We can't have two new guys fight for FA scraps only, that's not fair. I admire your passion, but I'll give you and the other guy 2 years before you quit if you get FA only, there's too much of a bridge to get over.

We'd need to do it like the NBA did it when it incorporated new teams, protect a number of guys and let you guys choose from a pool of our own players also.
Which won't bode well for a number of guys, we're having a stalled draft as it is because one guy refuses to drop a single player from his roster.

So you need to wait, it will probably take another year before someone else quits.

Then kick him out I'll take his spot lol, jk. But you're welcome to use me, as FAs have used the Lakers in the past, as leverage. If he holds up the draft, I'll be happy to take over his team. Anyway I'll be around so hmu if there's an opening.

He was moving up pretty damn quick on my draft board before you picked him. He was still behind two guys but it was close. Once you picked him, I knew you knew.

Initially I thought it was a reach then Hayward went to the C's. Good pick.

And welcome Blackie!

Maybe our league commissioner could set some kind of deadline for AK?
The 17th will be three weeks from when AK drafted...

I think Ty wants the majority to decide on how the league should handle their excess players. He did ask a few pages ago. Problem is, not everyone voiced their displeasure or agreement.

If the body decided to drop before draft, then it's the time Ty swoops in to set deadlines.

I haven't seen anybody voicing support for AK. Ty's position has been clear - everybody has to follow the rules and make their drops. AK by his own words is flat out refusing to drop anyone.

Realistically, nobody is going to gift AK a draft pick for scrubs and there's been no apparent progress on some kind of consolidation trade. Watching free agency and summer league developments has been an added benefit for late round drafters, but this situation can't go on forever...

He's legitimately gaining an advantage in drafting by waiting this long, at some point the pick has to be forfeited.

I thought about doing a 1 for 2 with AK that he probably would have accepted but I was like naaah, I'm not gonna let him off the hook that easily. Watching this drag out is kinda fun.

Was this comment directed at me?

Any advantage gained is, as you wrote, legitimate.

Remember, you played a role is this fiasco too:
TyCobb wrote:And it is written, the draft hold up is due to Ak7 - Wavy Q - and Mirja.

I'm ready to draft at any time -my choice has long been decided (barring any craziness from AK like dropping KD or having to forfeit Jackson).
