All 3 of the players in question are elite, statistically, as spot up shooters... As long as there's no tension between who ends up being the primary ball handler all will be fine off the ball. I would assume Melo knows at this point that he is going there to be what is essentially a much more advanced Ryan Anderson that will eat off of the opportunities that Harden and CP3 produce. If Melo still wanted to be the number 1 option he wouldn't have chosen to be traded to Cleveland or Houston specifically. I would be more worried about how Houston is going to cover for Harden and Melo defensively, especially if Ariza has to go in this deal.

Melo can survive at the 4 defensively but he's still someone you have to cover for and we'll see if having less responsibility offensively will make Harden go back to his OKC level of defense which was actually decent. That's the biggest key for this super team... I think they'll have the offensive firepower so, at the very least, they won't be intimidated by the warriors putting up points in bunches, but I'd be worried that GSW is just too good for them to hang defensively.
