i like at3 he's a pretty consistent 3pt shooter and lockerroom vet i think ellenson/tolliver minutes will depend on matchups.

I was surprised that he's only 32yrs old. I don't know why butI thought he was 3-4 yrs older than that. Maybe it was just all the "veteran leadership" talk and him being grouped in with Joel Anthony and Steve Blake in that regard last time he was here. And even just being 32yo he's the oldest on the team by three years! Boban is next at 29yo.

It's interesting he only signed for a year here. Maybe he wants to see how the PT plays out, he still talks like he wants to play and with Leuer, Ellenson, Harris all able to get PF minutes he might not see the playing time he wants.

Anyone else catch that Tolly was making sure it was known that he didn't just sign to be a lockeroom presence...........................

To be honest , i did want him back, but i thought it would as a last reliable option. The fact that he thinks he's going to play makes me concerned about where this team is headed .

Yeah hes actually still better than I thought and could see him cutting into Ellensons mins. Don't know if he's going to take them right away as I would hope SVG gives the chance to Ellenson first.

Wait, are you implying that there's a team out there that would have actually been willing to give Tolliver a multi-year contract? Not even SVG could be that....well, never mind. He seems like he's 40 because he plays like he's 40.

The concern was/is entirely justified though.

In general people were worried that as a .500 team we'd be giving minutes to a 30+ year old vet on a 1 year deal over a young dude on a rookie contract.

It's the old short term vs long term

As much as many of us here loved Tolliver and truly appreciate the value of vets on and off the floor it doesn't change the initial reaction

The only reason no one cares about his playing time is because we're winning & he's playing well.

The team is winning but both Jon & Bullock have been crapped on by everyone because of their play

How long will it take for people to turn on Tolliver? 4 bad games in a row and the knives will be out

People are too emotional about this team...you'd think a decade of crap would have changed that

He has earned every minute he has played so far. Everyone worried about taking mins from Henry, there is a reason Henry isn't getting mins. He is the worst defender on the team, skill and effort wise.

Posted this yesterday and it deserves to be posted again.

- Tolliver is 4th in Net Rating and 2nd in Defensive Rating

He was shooting only 28% from 3 and he was still having an insane impact on the game, and he is not going to keep shooting 28% He is a 36% career 3 point shooter and there is no reason for him to shoot below that number.
