kevin pelton did a tweet about most talked about summer league guys, BAM in the top 4 :)

others on list were smith jr, tatum, someone else and bam 4th. i love his size and motor, those are things that cant be taught. plus he looks to pass more than i thought he would/could.

C'mon Papi Rex, there's like dozens of facets to bball comparisons and skill. It's fine not to like the comparison but nonsensical to praise Bam and chit on TT in the same breath. They're pretty similar and TT was probably the more impactful prospect out of college. He's a prominent basketball player, there's probably not 3 other ball players in the league with his skillset and versatility. Cle doesn't win a ring, doesn't afford two wins against GS in '15 and probably doesn't prevent a MVP from FMVP without his contributions the last few years, show some respect papi

All he needs to do is get in Heat shape. 7fter that can shoot 3s, but he's fat. Smh. Eating some big money away.

^ this. Dude needs to get on the Heat training regime stat. Hopefully by the time training camp rolls around, he'll be looking a fair bit more sculpted.

Ok. I don't see the comparison but haven't got into it much. But what do you see as TT's strengths and/or how would you describe him as a player? IMO TT is a great rebounder and rim protector... but he isn't a guy who I would immediately point to and say highly athletic (relative to other NBA players of course, not Joe Shmoes like ourselves), and he's not a guy who I really ever see dribbling the ball or driving into the paint. TT is much thicker than Bam, while Bam is far leaner (not total weight, I'm talking body fat, etc). It makes TT slower than Bam, but also makes TT more powerful.

That's why I think the comparison is poor. That's not to say TT is a bad player... he just seems like a very different player athletically, etc. Young Surge Ibaka IMO is more of a player I would compare Bam to. While admittedly Ibaka wasn't one to dribble the ball much, he was lean and athletic like Bam. Physically, I think that is a far more accurate comparison than TT. TT is just a different style of player all together and I don't see any real comparison other than stats... which can be compiled in a hundreds different ways.

Bish probably thinks we're going to use him similar to tt and in limited minutes, his game may actually look like tt because of that.

If you can't see a TT comparison, then really that's all there is to it. Nothing I need to convince you of or otherwise, we're all just guessing
