I think some of you are still expecting we're gonna get some great package back but we're not and we're gonna have to take back a player that has a pretty good size contract as well, we just need to hope that player is someone that can help us whether it be off the bench or as a starter and hope we get at least one draft pick or young player in the deal and i also think the more teams that are in on this deal the less we get back. I think it's all about just getting rid of Melo and his contract to the Knicks....you know, like it was a month ago when all anyone cared about was just getting Melo and his contract gone.

Anderson needs to go to Utah, I've been saying it for a week. Him and Gobert compliment each other perfectly up front.

So Marc Berman is saying a deal probably won't be done until after the Rockets presser on Friday for Chris Paul  . According to his sources.

If anything, you'd think the deal would get done before so they can have a joint presser.

What are you expecting? If you "oh no please" to him then expect to be devastated by what we get because at this point he's the pie in the sky here.

He's one of those Knicks fans that think we're getting 3 first round picks and 20% stake in the Rockets.

If there is any real evidence of this then I will have lost my respect for Melo. If he really is pulling this **** now cause he doesn't want his team gutted then he should of pulled this **** back in Denver, FOR US...

I do not remember the exact reports but I do have did read a lot about it in the past. It makes a lot of since. Why would Carmelo want to get traded to a gutted team. If the Rockets give up Ariza and Gordon ad a pick then they are gutted. He could be holding out for an Anderson trade. He holds the cards. I believe this is reason the trade is not going down. Melo is trying to fleece the Knicks.

In other words, the Knicks have painted themselves into a corner. Anthony can choose his destination in a trade and can even potentially boycott a deal if he feels a team would be giving up too many assets to be competitive in order to bring him aboard. But if the Knicks buy him out, they lose him for nothing.

Anthony is reportedly willing to waive his no-trade clause to join Houston, but will he do so if the Rockets need to gut their team to acquire him? It isn’t clear how Anthony’s conversation with the remaining Knicks front office has gone now that Phil Jackson is no longer there, but it’s safe to say Anthony isn’t inclined to do them any favors.

Just can't keep the Knicks out of people's mouths. I hope the young guys are watching. When we win someday, it's going to be glorious. Stay patient fellas.

From a different fan who claims sources on a Rockets board:

Jazz willing to take Anderson and a first for Favors and Diaw. Morey looking for a better deal. Knicks would take favors. Portland will give up a second to get rid of Davis. So we could theoretically do 4 way by Saturday with Utah/Portland that would net us melo/davis and a second for Anderson/ngs/and a first with Diaw going to Portland and being waived.

Portland willing to give up a first if they could drop below luxury tax. We can't get that done.

Morey trying to figure out how to unload Anderson without sending a first now. Looking for a better deal that would only require us to give up a second or a couple seconds.

A source told The Post the Knicks inquired about Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe, whom Jeff Hornacek coached in Phoenix. Bledsoe is 27 with two years and $29 million left on his pact. The Knicks don’t have many trade chips except a future first-round pick and starting shooting guard Courtney Lee.

Bermanbury

I like Bledsoe a lot...but a first round pick?
They could keep him.
Not that he's not with at least that in a trade but the last time we traded a package with picks to Phx for a PG it didn't go so well to say the least.

NO MORE TRADING FIRST ROUND PICKS!!!!!
