Jackson's looked special when he's attacking off the dribble and not settling for jumpers.

James better not start trying to do everything...nice that he's hot but we need everyone to stay engaged.

Chriss with a wild closeout, gives up a straight line drive which leads to Bender help and a drop off pass

this "run the clock ISO" EOG stuff is reminding me of how the Raptors lose games

Jackson is an absolute beast. If his shot starts falling consistently he will be a perennial all-star. Another draft homerun by McD. Bender also looked fantastic this game.

It's crazy... you wouldn't have thought before he was drafted that the closest comp for Marquese would turn out to be Rodney Rogers.

Bledsoe does the same thing...tie game or down by 1 or 2..he will dribble out the clock and shoot a 3. I think he launched two 3s when the game was tied in the regular season...but more overall.

He looked great, but it was against a winless Jazz team without their best players. Not to knock it, but perennial all star based on one summer league game against that team might be premature. If he does that in a regular season game early, especially against a good team, definitely.

To me his floor is Josh Smith, if he becomes an effecient shooter then you're looking at some all-time greats.

21 poinst and 15 rebounds for Josh Jackson. Great ball handler.
18 points and 5 rebounds for Bender, some good passes too.

Mike James with a very good game, his best game by far with the team.

Reed is a 3&D guy, perfect for this team. Not a shot creator, but he plays hard and is a very good 3p shooter.

Chriss with a bad game, but he had his good moments too.

Overall a good win, our best performance.

I didn't mean to imply that he will be an all-star because of this game. I just mean that a consistent jumper complete's his game and that he has the tools to be a star.

You can tell Jackson will be a very good player, he has that aggression and no-fear attitude.

So far I'm loving our draft with Jackson and Reed.

Anyone have any info on Peters if we signed him or not?

Would love to see him on the squad as well.

Got a tech for pouting, missed a bunch of defensive covers, had 2 rebounds - best SL game for Chriss!

This guy is a sophomore lottery pick, we can't hold him to such a low standard in order to make us feel better.

Davon Reed probably impressed me slightly more than JJ. JJ's talent was on full display (and boy does he have a lot of it) but he played a little blinkered. Reed will be a perfect 20mpg plug and play for this team. He plays within himself and works hard defensively - and importantly already has the frame to compete in the NBA.

Bender hopefully builds on this performance. Still isn't comfortable shooting over people but that will come with time.

3 point shooting:

Draymond Green before 24 = 29%
Jimmy Butler before 25 = 30%
Andre Iguodala before 27 = 32%
Scottie Pippen before 29 = 26%

As long as Jackson plays to his strengths like today he can still be a 18 / 8 type player as his floor and then if he can get that improvement in his shot like these guys he'll end up in a similar bracket.
