During tonight's game, Connelly was talking about Millsap and transitioned into "versatility" and transitioned into Jokic. Or something like that. "Versatility" is probably not a word that can be used about Millsap or Jokic in terms of playing multiple positions so I chuckled. However if you think about their games, "versatile" might indeed apply when you consider the multiple skills they both have.

I was a little irritated when he mentioned Barton as being able to play 2 & 3 & a little 1. I really wish they would stop even consider him as a PG. He can handle the ball fine but he is worse than Nelson at starting an offense. Truth is, as I have said before, there are teams where both players fit - Barton probably more so because of his age, but they just don't fit on the Nuggets IMO.

Nelson as a 3rd PG, I actually don't mind (bet he would  ). Barton as a backup SG/SF isn't truly terrible either, but I'd rather see some of our younger/future players there. Barton is probably better than them at this time, but they need to learn and Barton deserves more minutes than he'll probably get in Denver.

Agree wholeheartedly, Barton is at best a bench player in Nuggets as his playstyle isn't suitable for our team, yet he didn't really change much to adapt to our offense. I don't understand why TC said Barton can play 2 $ 3, does that indicate he will play that a lot next season and take minutes away from our young guns? I sure hope not.

From what I see in the Summer League and last season, Beasley and Juancho definitely can make the leap into good bench players next season, just hope the minutes allocate to Barton can be reduced next season.

For a "pure scorer", Lydon sure needs a lot of work....Welcome to the NBA Rookie !!!!

Well glad the SL really doesn't mean anything, but gotta say the Nuggets gave Nori along with Beasley and Juamcho no roster support to speak of.

Luke the FO was too busy scheming was to find more “assets”. No time to sign summer league talent.

It's really no big deal. Beasley & Hernangomez are on the Nuggets. Lydon stands a good shot at being on the roster this year. Morris has an outside shot but that's way over our 15 man limit. That means the rest had no shot at all. It's really good that some of our younger non-summer league players were there, working out with the summer league team.

Nice article about Murray, especially nice to consider what might have been if he were playing with Beasley & Hernangomez on this Summer League team - which he wanted to do.

I'm ready to wrap a bow on Lydon being a complete bust after four summer league games. Four may have been generous, for those of you wondering why I'm making these proclamations during meaningless summer league games. His absolute highest upside is undersized shooting 4 who adds no other value on the court and will be a liability defensively.

Basically, unless Trey Lyles looks and acts like a different player/person than he did in Utah, they go two useless, redundant pieces for a lottery pick.

Slow clap, front office.

Summer league means literally nothing in terms of how a player will turn out. There are many nba stars including Nicolas Batum, Serge Ibaka, Wesley Mathews and even David West who had horrible summer league performances and still turned out to be great players. Give the dude some time to train with some NBA trainers and players and become acclimated to the NBA.

SF Torrey Craig looking like he's gonna get an invite to the Nuggets TC this season, definitely outplaying the 1st round pick.

He played in the NBL in Australia last season and was a beast. His shot is inconsistent, but he rebounds really well for his size , plays tenacious defense and will give 100% every night. Hoping he makes a team

Shot is indeed not great but he can guard 1-4 and sometimes 5. He's 6'6" with a 7'2" wingspan and very athletic. He'll be 27 this coming December but it seems not to be a big issue as he probably isn't being considered as a future starter but more as a shut-down wing defender. Nice pickup, if they take him - or so it seems.

Check your definition of "star" again if those names are the cream of the crop. Not that they're bad players, but pretty liberal with "star".

We'll just cross our fingers and hope that a bad summer league player turns into a good player eventually even though he's undersized without plus length, athleticism, or toughness.

Maybe regular season NBA basketball will embrace the 2-3 zone. Or he'll get to play Boston College instead of OKC.

I could go along with that line of thinking if he was supposed to be raw, or was considered an upside pick. Lydon was not. There isn't much that we can point to that will develop down the road.

In SL every player that comes is going to play for himself, and Lydon is not type of player that will hog ball that much that he can have great stats. I expect from him to show more in our preparation games and in a season when he gets playing time...

Let's not pick on Lydon too much - after all he's everything the front office said they were not looking for: they said they wanted long, athletic, defensive-oriented players. But remember, he's a good shooter and that's what they wanted last year. Besides, apparently they thought we needed someone at PF just in case we had injuries to Millsap & Faried & Arthur & Hernangomez (and probably to Plumlee as well).

I'd love nothing more than to be saying "man, I was wrong about Tyler Lydon" in a few years. I didn't love Murray as a prospect and can happily admit I was wrong there.

I don't see it even a little bit with Lydon, but here's hoping I'm wrong!

But SL is exactly the place to show what you've got, not only for the team you're on but for other teams to scout you. Even the shots he's taken, his pct has been very low.
