Bledsoe's contract wouldn't be longer than Melo's. But if Melo's willing to be bought out w/out compensation for (1) the option year (18-19), the trade kicker and the NTC, then maybe we can work something out. I'll give him $15M for this year and then he'll be free as a bird.

The whole point in trading Melo now is to trade him for shorter cap-friendly contracts, preferably for younger players and picks.

Otherwise just keep him and let him rot on the bench until he agrees to be traded to destination that could give the acceptable return.

He might...and I mean might have someone he knows in the organization that might be friends with someone closer to the people who make the decisions. Could be a trickle effect going on so he finds out news but not specific detail.

Bledsoe is a great player. I'm surprised if we even get that much back for Melo. This might ruin our tank.
