most excited acquisition all offseason for me. lets see if this former #6 pick has really improved like his euroleague accolades suggest.

That's a blast from the not-so-distant past. At the very least, Utah is getting a good defender. I think they're loaded enough on that end of the floor, though. They should be targeting someone who can get them some buckets.

They can care less about offense over there...

I guess the goal is to be the Greatest defense of all time though... Lock Down Defenders 9 out of 10 rotation players...

Thought this was a joke at first. Haven't followed his euroleague career but I heard good things. Ideal situation for him behind Gobert. Interested to see if he improved.

I love it. I wanted the Jazz to explore getting him back to the league and this looks like a good deal. He looked almost Draymond-like in Euroleague final 4.

Edit: Here's a sample:

This is an interesting number. It looks like a contract specifically fitted for the bi-annual exception($3,290,000.00). Which means they've decided to stay over the cap and keep the full MLE.

I dont think he improved to be honest. But he always been NBA caliber somewhat. He didnt leave NBA
because he was unplayable or smth.

He did improve and the NBA changed. Was too small to play center back in thee day, now that the league is moving away from the behemoths, he's better suited as he's very agile and mobile for a center.

Was a good player until he had a few knee issues then he kinda turned all sour and seemed to quit trying. Refreshed and healthy he should be a real nice role player. Excellent defender just has **** hands.

Yeah, that's my read as well. Players like him are valuable now and the fact that we are getting him for what seems like the BAE is great too. His feel and passing seem to have improved in Europe and his switchability and lateral mobility on D will play well in the league nowadays, IMO.

2004 Pistons done it, why not give it a go? They're never gonna be a "sexy" free-agent destination for the cream of the offensive crop, so do what you have to do, I guess. If "boring basketball" gives you a shot at competing, you go boring, no questions asked...

Yeah, looked it from the video posted. Good value with the contracts being handed out lately...
