Re: Melo Trade Thread "Ice Cube Family movie edition"
Picking Durant at #2 that year was a given. Don't act like he reached for him
WTF Post of 2017:
If Phil pulled that off, I would put a put a paper bag over my head, paste a picture of Jeannie on it, poke a hole through the mouth, and give Phil the best BJ he's ever had in his entire life.[/quote]

Also did great in free agency
Any team that has three first rounders ends up having the highest draft grades. It works like that in football or basketball. "Said team really did well to address some needs and add some high impact guys...."
I like Fox and all, but we don't know if they had a great draft at all.
They went into the draft with two which were #5 and #10 and traded #10 to Portland for #15 and #20 and took J.Jackson and H.Giles.

Asshola is going to post the same BS about him making picks when he was never the boss and get the same reaction. You have to stand for something or fall for everything.

outsdie his qualifications, the knicks went after an up and comer who wasn't already part of the organization and is not a big name. which is different than how a lot of people expected things to go.

Except our scouting team is OVERRATED.
Is it? Gaines hit on KP, Mills on Willy, our scouts hit late firsts and second round guys in the past as wel.
It's about wins and losses. Other teams have great scouts, you should check out their records.

Is this even official?
the test is if he accepts the job then he will probably be terrible. If he turns us down then we know he's smart

Turned them around? They haven't even played a game yet and they had 2 top 10 picks before the draft started.
Guy they signed 3 vets in Hill, Zbo, and Carter to go along with their young guys that they added. Where u been?
And what does that mean? Signing vets isn't something that is unheard of in the NBA. Because you sign vets you are going to be good?
Knicks would be champs if it were that easy.

Just because you aren't winning doesn't mean you don't have good scouts.

Word of wisdom Sham and I'm normally the same way. But sometimes you got to take a step back from the ledge. Nothings has been the norm lately for the Knicks. Even giving Timmy the contract we gave him, when was the last time we gave a major contract to someone that young who has potential and has been improving? We almost always take a risk on much older guys with the hopes that they can get back to who they were. I'm willing to be the quiet observer before I start passing judgement.

so it seems like 3 teams down...just need to find the 4th team. HOU probably doesn't want to add another asset for a team to take on Leonard but that is there problem right now. I think we would be willing to take back a 2 year deal for leonard if they want swap.
glad that it seems Mills and Co are staying strong. Looking like Harkless could be coming...I would be pumped for that.

he would accept it just for the promotion and pay check. he's not in a position to turn it down. also, he just took a job with the kings, i don't think he's the picky type.

that sounds terrible
Victor Oladipo is the most productive player taken in the first round not named Giannis.
Aaron Gordon is a decently productive player. I don't see an obvious miss.
Elfrid Payton is a strong find at 10.
Mario Hezonja looks to be a bust. Still, drafting 5th in a 3 player draft...
