Look at it this way Melo will op out of contract we will have almost 30 million next year to spend and a 1st round pick. Why trade him for players that won't move the needle

I agree this is possible. I'd like to think it's just because Perry is on board and/or trying to drive the price but I admit it is stupid to be optimistic.
