they would trade Gordon before they trade Ariza...they need ariza's defense. Gordon is now a bench player at this point. CP3/Harden playing 40 minutes in playoffs where is gordon playing.

He might be the piece Morey wanted to hold onto that he can't.

We have zero need for Gordon. We already have too many SG's

No but EG could be flipped (by them) for an acceptable return. While assets need to be attached to Ryno.

Morey: we can't find a 4th team to take leonard so you will have to take him.

Knicks: No

Morey: well then can you send a pick to move him to a 4th team?

Knicks: No

Morey: Where are we at then?

Knicks: figure it out if you want melo, young players, expirings, and picks that is it. (hangs up phone)

its really our only remaining leverage play. Im sure Morey believe with the momentum from the media and in the past we would cave just to make the deal happen and move on from melo. Seems like thats not the case. It's morey's problem to find a solution not ours.

CrazyKnicks wrote:Don't mind Melo staying since we signed THJR. That signing signaled us not fully rebuilding. Now get Rondo in here and let's see how far this team can go.

Rondo, THJR, Melo, KP, and Willy can also go small Rondo, THJR, Lee, Melo, Kp.

Rookie PG, Lee, and O'quin gives us a solid 8 man rotation. If it all clicks we can get the #2 seed as the East is wide open. Just need them to be focused and well coached. Shouldn't have a problem making the playoffs in the weakest Eastern Conference in recent memory.

Have fun trying to sign Rondo to less $$ than we gave to Ron stinky Baker.
Did we even sign Dotson yet?

they still woudl have to move Anderson or Gordon with Ariza..he doesn't make enough. So it still doesn't make sense $$$ wise either. They still have to move those pieces along with Ariza.

ariza. capella. 4 or 5 min deals. that might do it. you probably still need a 3rd team.

They aren't trading Ariza or Capella. If they need more assets they will move Gordon

i think morey is too deep in to not cave a little and give up more assets. He has to. What is the rockets other option?

Forget Ariza, give me Meyers Leonard, Ryan Anderson, Gordon and 2 unprotected first round picks. If they don't want to trade Gordon then give me 3 unprotected first round picks for taking on Leonard and Anderson.

The trades all sucked. Like most posters have said, this gives them leverage. Glad they're not making a trade just to make a trade. I still think it's best to keep him. I don't want crappy contracts, I don't want useless players, I don't want injury prone players. Unless we're getting draft picks, young talent, and/or good veterans to mentor KP what's the point?

i don't think they're moving any of them. and yes, that could work too. but somebody else on that team besides ryan has to go. that is the point.

And then when Cleveland non GM havin' a$$ calls talkin' bout Shump and Frye we let 'em know, if it ain't Love (rerouted for assets) we don't even need to talk. And hang up on them too. Well we hang up on nobody cuz they ain't even got a GM.
