I like Lonzo but I'm not buying the hype yet. I know it's summer league but you can just "tell" if a guy has that "it" factor or not. Lonzpp definitely brings in the money economically since he's already star and attracts tons of fans to games but on the court I'm not convinced.

He has good vision and is very skilled no doubt but I just don't see HOF/Franchise player potential. I see all-star but not top 10 player in the league. His shooting form will be an issue going vs NBA guards and defensively he's OKAY..not J-Kidd level defense that's for sure.

Fox, Tatum, Jackson, Dennis JR have really impressed me though. I think these guys will have better careers than Fultz/Ball.

Brook: I got some old tapes. See what Deron's doing? Don't do that.
Lonzo: He's just stuffing his face.
Brook: You catch on quick, rookie.

I'm on the hype train, he reminds me of a Jason Kidd alot out there with all those on the money passes he makes. I think his defense will come, and he will make a lot of blocks and steals to make it look better, he just has to learn to keep in front of his man but even if they blow by him I see him making a lot of blocks from behind like he has shown in summer league. His size at point guard will help disrupt alot of plays and make it tough on opposing point guards. He needs time but the potential is definitely there. I see him putting up alot of triple doubles ala Jkidd.

Who else does LA have at point guard? Lonzo would benefit from a vet point guard in the lockeroom.

Rondo and DMC seemed to do okay in Sacramento. Still, the Pels are not constructed well, and it's ruining Davis's career.

Very true, DMC said he loved having Rondo there.. but Pelicans need a new coach, Gentry doesn't know what he's doing over there. They should of kept Monty Williams.

Kuzma, summer league playoffs final MVP...
Most NBA stats aren't credible. At most times the people who interprets those data are biased, or the data themselves are flawed. Basketball is just too complicated with so many uncontrollable variables.

If all we lost out on was a summer league MVP in order to acquire a potential Eastern Conference All-Star, I'll take it

IMO, now Kuzma is a potential Western Conference All-Star, who is athletic and a very good shooter.

I wouldn't read too much into Kuzma's performance... His game is tailor made for summer league where rebounding and defense don't matter.

Some guys are summer league player others are NBA players - Kuzma may yet prove he's a NBA player (and to be fair Jarrett Allen has to do the same) but summer league is summer league...
